“Southern California-based fashion label Advisory Board Crystals (Abc.) is linking up with fellow SoCal staple Vans, to continue expanding the “Miracle Conditions” collection, which looks to celebrate unique, creative perspectives. Abc. puts its spin on the timeless SK8-Hi sneaker to create three colorways of the Vans x Abc. SK8-Hi EXT.
The Vans x Abc. SK8-Hi EXT follows up the duo’s first collaboration which landed last month – the Advisory Board Crystals x Vans EVDNT EXT ULTI, which leaned heavily into iridescent detailing. For the Vans x Abc. SK8-Hi EXT, the sneaker looks to combine Vans’ timeless design with Abc.’s style ethos, all the while ensuring functionality remains at the forefront. The sneakers are equipped with a padded ankle cage and double tongue, as well as double pull-tabs on the back. Tonal ripstop underlays and overlays are infused throughout, complete with a holographic authenticity patch stamped on the tongue as well as an Abc. imprint on the toe. A set of thick “crystal” laces are embellished with Abc.’s custom 3m bungee lace lock.
Most impressively, the sneaker boasts a versatile hybrid silhouette, offering an easy transition from a high to a mid-top.
