Inspired by a unique marriage of skateboarding and street basketball subcultures framed in a contemporary aesthetic, Rokit is an homage to champions born of pavement and blacktop. Although they seem to be two drastically different worlds, many who grew up in the skateboarding culture understand the diversity of individuals involved, the culture being a melting pot of backgrounds brought together by the love of the sport. This season, Rokit joins Vans in a partnership blending style and craft for a collection inspired by global perspective with local roots in mind. Referencing Downtown Los Angeles, the community this brand calls home and its place within the broader scope of the world at large.
The Vans X Rokit Sk8-Hi 38 DX WS uses a muted color palette, heavy textures at the sidestripes, and a see-through sidewall print, while the Vans X Rokit Half Cab 33 DX uses a muted color palette, unique appliques, and a see-through sidewall print, and lastly the Vans X Rokit Old Skool 36 DX WS uses a muted color palette, heavy textures at the sidestripes, and a see-through sidewall print, all for a modern look that reflects the Rokit lifestyle.
