Although these have already popped up at DSM NY in-store, this latest Authentic LX from Vault and CDG are slated to release on 11/1 at a few other retailers including CDG’s own website. Not much to say about these, other than there’s a repeat all-over print of a CDG logo in black, on top of a white canvas. The resellers love CDG so don’t sleep if you want these!

The Anaheim Factory collection is one of our favorites, and they just released these suede renditions of their popular Slip-On 47 DX, made popular by Fear Of God, but now a mainstay in the Vans lineup. For some reason, the all suede mock-ups just go really well with this style, and when they’re being offered up in an OG Black and OG Brick colorway, then you can’t go wrong with either! They’re only available at select retailers, so they may be hard to find, but have no fear, our friends over at Silo have them online, as well as in store at their Omaha, NE location. Each pair retails for $80. Don’t sleep!

Check out one of the latest Authentics to come out of the Classics line. You might be wondering where you’ve seen these before, and if you follow Nike / Converse brand ambassador Ray Polanco, then you might recall he made a pair of customs at Vans HQ last year that looked very similar. No doubt these were inspired by that design, and it’s cool to see that Vans liked it so much that they made it into an actual mainline shoe. They appear to only be available online at the current moment, so click on the pic above or below to purchase them for $55. Not bad at all!

With the fall/winter season now upon us, the pair align once again, this time bringing to the table its “One World #2” collection. As its name so poignantly alludes to, the theme is a peaceful call to action, reminding one and all to embrace diversity and each other in this solitary world we all share.
Comprised of the Old Skool and Sk8-Hi, both models spotlight a clean black upper, with Coutié’s name appearing on the vamp, while “One World” text lands on the side area. “Vans, the original youth culture brand and icon of creative expression has announced a new global music series, Sidestripe Sessions. Filmed at Vans Global Headquarters in Costa Mesa, California, the series features different artists across all genres ranging from punk, experimental, indie to hip hop all filmed in a giant Vans shoe box with a rotating backdrop of art installations. Celebrating creative diversity in music and art, the video series highlights Vans’ extended family of musicians through a two-song performance.
The first season of Sidestripe Sessions will include 12 episodes, and Vans is excited to release the first five episodes today, featuring LA indie band Wallows, avant-garde performance artist Serpentwithfeet, emo-rock legends The Get Up Kids, NY rapper Young M.A and Chicano solo artist Cuco. Each performance is filmed inside a giant Vans shoe box with art installations created by Jenny Sharaf, Maxwell McMaster, and Upendo. The rest of the season’s episodes will be rolled out every other Monday, with the next episode featuring post-hardcore band Quicksand on October 22.

Check out Taka Hayashi’s latest creation for Vault. A TH Chukka 66 LX & TH Slip-On 66 LX in a two-tone olive green canvas mockup, featuring some brown hits as well as a dark brown gum sole. Taka incorporated a strip of contrasting lighter colored material down the toe of each shoe, which accentuates the long toe that the Slip and the Chukka are known for. The interiors of each pair are bright orange, and each back heel features a leather panel. The vulcanized sidewall has Taka’s vintage Director logo near the back, and the bottom of each waffle sole features the same half rising sun pattern that we’ve seen on a few other pairs.
Proper has both of these up on their site, with the TH Slip-On 66 LX going for $100 and the TH Chukka 66 LX going for $110.

It’s been awhile since we’ve seen a nice and simple Chukka, and we think it’s due for a comeback. Of course, leave it up to Proper to help guide our fashion senses in the right direction, by bringing back an OG Triple OG with their latest offering of this set of OG Chukka LX’s. You may first mistake these for being part of the Vault mainline, but make no mistake that these were made specifically for Proper. Branding was kept extremely minimal, by way of a footbed logo, as well as a logo embroidered on the back side of the side flag. That’s it. The colorways chosen, look right out of your favorite OG lineup. Simple. Subtle. Timeless. Hopefully Vans won’t make similar colorways down the line, so not to take away from the originality that Proper is always known for. This day and age, we seem to be over-saturated with collaborations or just the idea of collaborations, but sometimes a collaborative product doesn’t need any special materials, branding, or story to be cool. Sometimes just the idea of re-introducing something kind of forgotten is enough, and that’s sort of the vibe I get with this pack. MAKE CHUKKAS GREAT AGAIN!
