Check out my boy LBIFBACK (@akamedaniel)’s review of the latest Anaheim Factory Era 95 DX, the “Dog Town” OG TRIPLE OG pair that you all should own!

Words via Hypebeast:
“Vans is teaming with the anime legends JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure on a Golden Wind-inspired capsule collection, celebrating characters Giorno Giovanna and Bruno Bucciarati.
Taking on the Vans Era Pro and laceless Slip-On, the pairs see a complete rework both visually and physically. The Era gets wrapped in bright fuchsia velvet and sits atop a clean white sole unit featuring the Jojo logo. Embroidered golden wings hit the heel cup, anime-inspired eyelet plugs are used for decoration, and a love heart is cut out and edged in gold on the tongue.
The Slip-On is understated in comparison, seeing a clean black-on-white upper with metallic gold trimming. Featuring a standout vamp zip compartment which reveals quotes from the characters, the pair again features the lateral midsole tab and opt for a white sole unit.
Both pairs feature anime-sketched insoles depicting either Giorno Giovanna or Bruno Bucciarati depending on the pair, and come in a box inspired by JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure‘s Japanese roots and Italian setting.”
Head to retailers such as Bandai Fashion Collection to buy the collaborative pairs, priced at ¥9,720 JPY (approx. $88 USD).

“N.HOOLYWOOD, headed by the Japanese designer Daisuke Obana, has tapped Vans for a Spring/Summer 2019 capsule collection which was first hinted at on its SS19 runway.
Comprised of a coach jacket and a pair of logo T-shirts, the collection sees a number of plays on the traditional Vans logo and iconography. Whited-out “OFF THE WALL” skateboards and a number of Americana-influenced Vans badges make up the collections logo-heavy look. Being a three-piece capsule collection, N.HOOLYWOOD presents a strong addition to any outfit with its standout T-shirts and contrastingly clean coach jacket, the latter being a piece that nods to Vans’ California-skate heritage.
The capsule comes after N.HOOLYWOOD presented its avantgarde SS19 runway show, where a pair of triple-black suede Vans chukkas were spotted on the catwalk.
T-shirt’s are priced at JPY 8,000 (approx. $70 USD) and the coach jacket is JPY 14,800 (approx. $130 USD), and will be available at all N.HOOLYWOOD stores and online from March 16. Sneakers are expected to release on May 4, but no news has been announced which pair will be dropping just yet.”

Here’s a release that we just caught wind of today. Hockey, the sub-label to our beloved skate brand Fucking Awesome, has just released these two AVE Classic High Pro’s. One constructed in all black herringbone canvas, and one in all white premium leather. Both feature Hockey branding printed on the vulcanized sidewall, as well as a custom embroidered message on the inside upper that reads “Eyes without a face”. As with all Pro models, these feature Pro vulcanized construction, with DURACAP upper reinforcements and a classic waffle grip gum sole. This deconstructed Sk8-Hi is too sick, and if you’re a fan of Anthony Van Engelen, or Hockey, then you need to get these highly limited Vans!

This has been a rumor for a few years now, and it’s dope to see the opening of the first official Vault By Vans store, albeit a temporary pop-up. Located in the lower East side of Manhattan, at 219 Bowery New York, NY 10002, Vans promises that the new space will “support and engage the local community through unique events and activations over the coming months,” though the California-based brand doesn’t expound on what fans can expect to experience at the new store, aside from a vast array of premium skate sneakers. Rumor is, they have or had some pairs of the Vault x Blends ComfyCush Old Skool LXs for sale there, and right now, they have the whole Modernica collection installed, and are offering everything, including the chairs. If you’re in the area, stop by and share your pics on IG, cause we want to see more!

No-Comply Skateshop celebrates its 12th anniversary with a highly limited Vans release. The Texas shop has joined forces with singer-songwriter Daniel Johnston for this awesome collab. They chose the Era Pro and Slip-On Pro, both featuring doodle artwork by Daniel. Each pair arrives with a custom tote bag, bandanna, guitar pick, and koozie, but the real kicker is that only 320 pairs will be available in each style. Definitely for the collectors! All proceeds will benefit the Hi, How Are You Project, which aims to create a mainstream discussion around mental health.
The shoes release march 13th, at No-Comply Skateshop in Austin, TX.

“First seen about a year ago, the Eastern branch of Vans has been quietly rolling out new editions of the “Japan Fabrics Collection” every few months or so, with a new sneaker here, one unique style there. To kick off the 2019 releases, Vans Japan serves up a complete trio of bespoke shoes, all made to exacting standards in Japan.
Vans’ Old Skool is tweaked with an “Ichimatsu” pattern, so-named for an Edo-era pattern that was used to create kimono and accessories. Here, the technique is rendered as a checkerboard-style pattern, and printed upon lightweight cotton tissue. Meanwhile, the Era sports a Spider Chrysanthemum-inspired jacquard print (“Rangiku”), with indigo and red tones mingling upon a slubby cotton upper. Finally, the humble Slip-On gets graphic with a jacquard goldfish (“Kingyo”) pattern — the elegant fish flows across a sturdy cotton fabric known as “shantung,” most commonly used for curtains in current-day Japan.
The latest “Japan Fabrics Collection” pack is available exclusively at Japanese retailers like ABC-MART.”

“Two of the most respected brands in skateboarding, Vans and Antihero Skateboards, band together to commemorate four shared team riders John Cardiel, Chris Pfanner Jeff Grosso and Tony Trujillo, with their favorite Vans Pro Skate styles. Available now, the Vans x Antihero assortment is a stylish, skate-inspired collection that ranges in apparel, accessories, and footwear, and highlights three athlete-endorsed Pro Classics and the signature TNT Advanced Prototype.
Celebrating the unapologetic spirit of Antihero Skateboards and its heritage of nearly 25 years, the Old Skool Pro (Cardiel), Slip-On Pro (Pfanner) and Sk8-Mid Pro (Grosso) join the TNT Advanced Prototype (Trujillo), in a collection that boasts premium suede and canvas upper textiles, Vans’ trusted Pro Skate performance technology, and custom Antihero graphics. With a design palette unified by Antihero’s mascot, the pigeon, each shoe features a custom pigeon character on the footbed, including a fat pigeon for Jeff Grosso’s Sk8-Mid Pro. Every style embodies a unique feature inspired by each skater, from outdoor styling and premium suede overlays by Cardiel and Grosso, to curated two-tone color executions by Pfanner and Trujillo. Both the Sk8 Mid Pro and TNT Advanced Prototype employ Vans UltraCush Lite 3D footbeds, while the Old Skool Pro and Slip On Pro are equipped with Duracap-reinforced rubber underlays for durability and UltraCush HD sockliners for unparalleled cushioning.
The Vans x Antihero apparel collection features clean graphic lockups across short and long sleeve tees, a fleece pullover hoodie, and a hat. The standout piece in the collection is a staple workwear-inspired yarn dye shadow plaid flannel featuring a straight hem, pigeon embroidery, and custom label package details.
