“Vans have teamed up with legendary London brand The Duffer of St. George for a capsule collection of sneakers and long-sleeved tees, exclusive to the Japanese market. Two colorways of the Old Skool sneaker have been given a tartan side stripe, emblazoned with the label’s 1984 birth year on the heel counter. Decked out in only the most premium materials, the sneakers come in two tonal colorways in a laceless getup with fur lining. Look out for them when they drop July 19 at Dover Street Market Ginza.”

The LXVI collection has been around for a little over a year now, and well, it’s been a rough start to say the least. There was some confusion in the beginning, as to who this collection was for. It was released exclusively at Foot Locker, and the majority of the shoes were unfamiliar new models, which seemed to underperform with the action sports kids, and weren’t very durable. Well, come to find out, it was supposed to be more of an “action sports spectator” shoe. Huh what? Yeah, it was a lifestyle project of some sort. Ohhhh, okay! Well, fast forward a year later, and I think LXVI is on the right track with these new renditions of our familiar classics.

So basically, Vans is being true to themselves by sticking to their classic design, while offering up a casual version for those of us who don’t skate or shred up our shoes on the daily! This is something that we can all welcome and embrace into our Vans community! Word on the streets is that these are super comfortable, and you can go all day in these. Vans should hook it up with a wear-test sample! Just kidding, I don’t ask for stuff…but I do gladly accept it, lol! Go out there and try a pair on everybody, and report back here!

Vans and London-based fabric company Liberty, are back at it for the Fall/Winter 2014 season, with a few awesome designs for us all. This time, going with more familiar classics, the Sk8-Hi Reissue, Old Skool, and Era, each pair is wrapped entirely in a signature Liberty floral pattern. The colors and flower patterns chosen just seem to fit the sneaker silhouettes perfectly. These are starting to arrive at your local Vans store, so get on it!

Tyler the Creator is back at it again, for round 2 of his infamous Vans Syndicate Old Skool Pro “S” model. This year’s model is the same shoe as last year, except with some wild new color combinations. While the last pair’s unifying look was the gum soles, this year it’s about these hot pink vulcanized soles, which are ridiculously dope. Say what you will about the “Creator”, but his style is unique, and his followers are the most dedicated kids around, and these will be gone before you can even voice your negative opinions about them! I want all of them! I will get all of them! Will you?!

“This fall, Vans Syndicate joins forces with Odd Future’s Tyler the Creator to give the classic Old Skool silhouette a Pro “S” treatment with Ultracush impact sockliners and Duracap reinforced uppers in three bold suede and vivid pink colorways. The Vans Syndicate x Tyler The Creator Pack features the Old Skool Pro “S” in three color schemes including Blue/Pink, Wheat/Pink and Green/Pink.
This project marks the second Odd Future collaboration in the Syndicate line and will be available exclusively from authorized Syndicate dealers beginning July 19th.”

“The forthcoming season of Vans Classics revisits the forms of the Era, Old Skool and Half Cab for a five-piece set of snake colorways. Steve Caballero’s signature mid-top, the Half Cab, dominates the pack with a trio of styles in the range. Outfitted in embossed reptile-styled uppers and paired with a padded tongue, the Half Cab presents tonal red and eclipse colorways alongside a mixed khaki/brown offering. The mixed scale materials extend to the low-top portion of the collection with allover coverage of the Era and quarter panel detailing on the Old Skool. Clean white midsole finish and vulcanized waffle outsoles put the finishing touches on the assortment. The Vans Classics Fall 2014 “Snake” pack is now available at select Vans retailers.”

“Vans Vault teams up with the Peanuts gang on a Fall 2014 footwear collection featuring a vintage print of the formidable cartoon characters from the ’80s. Fitting for the California brand, these patterns originally appeared exclusively on Vans footwear at the opening of Camp Snoopy in Knott’s Berry Farm. Overall, two prints have been used including “Snoopy and the Gang” and “Camp Snoopy” across select silhouettes such as the OG Authentic LX, OG Era LX and OG Sk8-Hi LX, and they’ve even produced the low top models in toddler sizes as well! Look for the collection in July at your local Vault dealer.
