Following last month’s initial release, the second color way in the footwear project, ‘The Blues’, will release this Friday, June 5th. Produced exclusively for DQM; ‘The Blues’ pack consists of an OG Era LX and an OG Sk8-Hi LX style each constructed in 6oz canvas printed with a blue tone collage featuring authentic cover art from Blue Note’s epic catalog. The Sk8-Hi LX’s have black suede detailing and the Era LX’s are finished with white laces through black metal eyelets; both styles have a true white vulc midsole, classic waffle sole and feature DQM labeling at the heel and insole.

The Happiest Place On Earth. There isn’t a better way to describe the thoughts and feelings I walked away with after the fun-filled all-day event put on by Disney and Vans this past Thursday. They pulled out all the stops for this event, and I am deeply honored and greatly humbled that I was able to partake in all of the festivities, and hang out with some great people that also do great things in the sneaker world, at a much much more higher level than I do.

Supreme will be releasing a new style of Vans Old Skool. The shoe features a premium perforated leather upper with leather lining and insole. Made exclusively for Supreme the Old Skool will be offered in four color ways.

Vans Vault has just released their latest OG Sk8-Hi LX’s, in a style straight out of the 70’s. The Phantom Blue model is the obvious favorite amongst most, but that Turtle Green colorway is something we don’t see very often and just might be the low-key winner here. They’re both bold and beautiful, featuring a mixture of heavy canvas, and suede. The OG labeling lets you know these are shaped like the originals, right down to the silk-screened heel tab. Look for these at your local Vault dealer, and shouts to Bows & Arrows for the pics on these!
We’ve been anticipating this collection for about a year or so now, and it looks like the release is right around the corner. Vans has had a long-standing relationship with Disney, since back in the early 90’s when they were still making their shoes here in the USA. You can still find some rare originals on eBay, and a few of those original prints were reissued in the Vault line a little over a year ago. You can also thank this partnership for all of your Star Wars Vans! This time, Vans has created this awesome collection, dubbed “Young At Heart”, which will be a GR release, showing up in every Vans store, along with some really cool accessories and apparel. The designs are all original for Vans, from Mickey wearing red shoes, to Pooh sitting with his wooden skateboard, to Donald shouting his usual obscenities. There’s also a classic Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse design for the more traditional Disney fan. There is surely something in this pack that speaks to you. They’ve got the classics covered, with Authentic’s, Era’s, Slip-On’s, and Sk8-Hi’s, but don’t discount the socks, hats, tees, and bags that accompany them. Nicekicks has these slated for June, but earlier informants said these were coming in July, but no worries. We’ll keep you posted either way.
