Sanrio and Vans have teamed up to launch a footwear collaboration for Hello Kitty fans, Vans fans, and sneakerpimps of all ages! Arriving in June, the Vans x Hello Kitty collection will feature an awesome variety of styles and designs, including the Classic slip-on in checkerboard print, low-top laced Authentic in all-over prints and high-top Sk8-Hi D-Lo, in a cute custom print. RAD!



The collection will be available at Vans Retail store, the Vans online store and Vans dealers nationwide as well as select Sanrio Boutique Stores and here at Sanrio.com in June 2011. Prices will range from $25 for an infant and $37 for a child’s Classic Slip-On to $55 for the unisex Sk8-Hi D-Lo high top sneaker.

My gf fucking loves HK and she wasn't into these at all.

If I recall, I thought there were more designs for this release? Not 100% sure, but one of you with a catalog of the upcoming stuff can verify, but yeah these seem to be geared more to children. The Slip-On is half decent. My girlfriend is a crazy HK fan, but she hates the color pink, and most collabo shit comes out in the pink version of Hello Kitty.

A little off topic, but I skated some of the hello kitty decks. I have two in my deck pile in my room and I think I have another 1 in the "deck graveyard" aside from a new one.

Just a heads up...if you were planning on picking up any of the Hello Kitty Vans collection, they've started popping up at retailers online, such as Nordstrom, Journeys, and even one of the toddler models is up on the Vans web store, but can only be accessed by direct link, or through Google shopping, which is how I found it. Also, Google is showing prices and pics for the shoes, but the links aren't valid. They all default to the front Vans page. Should be up soon. Here's a few links to a few sizes, and models:

No prob! Me too, for MY girl...cause she's a Hello Kitty beast! You all should've seen her worrying about not getting her pair, and I had to let her know that it's okay, cause these are a wide release. You can already purchase your daughter's sizes on Vans site, but you won't find the link to the page right now, through Vans' website search engine. You gotta type in "Hello Kitty Vans" into Google Shopping, and a few page results down, like on the 3rd or 5th, it will bring up the Vans site results. Some links are dead, mainly for womens, but the kids and toddlers are all up and ready for purchase.
