contract fees are a pain, I cancelled with at&t and ended up owing over 300+ when I cancelled two phones. I don't think theres any getting around it.

my carrier is t-mobile. oh if i told them that i can't receive text message from certain telephone carriers would they let me go? because it is really annoying, and t-mobile can't fix it anyway.

I'm with them and I have text issues as well. You could try to use that as leverage. You just have to sound really pissed and really work your way up the chain.

Ultimately though, you want to leave, so trying to get them to make leaving easier for you, is unlikely. I've heard of ppl getting cheaper service, better phones, etc. by threatening to leave, but I don't know about having them waive your ET fee.
