I'm very intentional with every shoe that I but on eBay and have been buying and selling since early 2000 (my current ID is good since 05'). If you don't know how to use eBay to your advantage (as Guam pointed out), than it's no ones fault but your own. It's not helpful when I'm watching an item and more people become alerted of that item if they want to purchase it. It's an auction, if more people show up, there's more competition - that's how it works. An item is only valued at what someone is willing to pay for it...and big bank takes little bank - it's really that simple.
I'm almost always aware of items that are posted on here because I have my saved searches for all shoes in a range of sizes and eBay will alert you when an item is listed fufilling your saved searches or will send you a weekly e-mails of all the items that fall into your needs. If you're unaware of how to set this up, there are tutorials some where on the site. At least there were a couple years ago when I set this up.
The only advantage I see is that with us posting shoes that are still listed, it shouldn't be a problem for people who sell things on eBay to promot items that they themselves are selling - which is great way to get people watching your own posts.

Guam couldnt have said it any better. We all are here to help and give heads up. I owe a few of my pickups to this thread! 006 Wtaps Chukka wasn't labeled as Wtaps once and Guam posted it up and I was able to complete that set like I had made it known a few days earlier. That is one of the best advantages of this thread is mislabels. Like Rocket said if something is labeled correctly I KNOW for a fact that every other sz 12 has seen that shoe whether it be those Supreme P.E.s that Guam and I were both bidding on, btw Guam it was Miles_Hi who won the P.E.s. I was worried if they were to get posted either cause it was labeled correctly and anyone who searches Vans knows the terms to use so it was going to be found by every sz 12 on here. If also recieved countless PMs asking "did you win those sz 12 blah blah blahs?" from people who were hoping that the shoes would be coming to the forum. Same with those P.E.s, I was hoping that someone here won them, and when Miles_Hi introducedd himself he mentioned that he won those shoes on ebay just before and I gave him some shit but I knew that it would possibly bring the oppurtunity to buy those off him when he's downsizing (if hes anything like me he wont let go of those though) ha. Anyway I'm done too. This thread is very helpful especially on mislabels!!

Yeah mislabels are the best! And that's right, it was Miles...I knew it was one of the Europe guys. Also, because of CrimsonGhost, I was able to cop the kids sz3.5 Mike Carrolls from someone in Europe, who wasn't even selling to us USA people, but only by exception, and I emailed her, and she let me in on her auction, and I ended up winning it. People in the USA didn't even get to see that auction, except for direct links, because if the seller won't ship to a certain country, it just blocks out that item from their search results! Definitely more good than bad on my end!

Wow you guys...$185 + $20 shipping is kinda crazy!

Anyone win it? BTW I didn't bid on them, hehe.
...but I did bid on the Navy 11.5 Chukkas...and won them for $47 + $20 shipping. That's more of a good deal to me! If I outbid a fellow OTWS member, sorry. You didn't set a high enough max bid, meaning you didn't really want them that bad.

Congrats on those chukka's, good deal! I was gonna bid but the seller also wanted $50 shipping and I figured if I started bidding, I would get caught up in it and spend more than I should (I thought the chukka's and the era's would end much higher, especially after they were posted here

..).

^I bid on both of them - $185 is insane and it hit that in the last 10 seconds because I came in at the end with $127 (I like the uneven values - win more that way) and had two bidders behind me. I wasn't siked on $145 shipped and I want those desperately.
The Navy's I was just fucking around and you got me at the end, I was leading but I lost focus and didn't get in a last bid. I've got the same pair, but I would have definitely taken a second for $67.

Yeah, I don't have the Navy Chukkas or the Era's, and I should've bid on the Era's as well, but the Chukkas are a higher priority. OK no more eBay for tonight. GOtta save some endz for Supreme releases tomorrow. Who else is excited

I won these. Thanks for posting up. Shitty thing was the guy used pics of when the shoes were new and then put a pic up to try and cover his ass of the inside heel. My wife actually got pissed and said to send them back but i worked with the guy and asked for $15 back which he sent with no issues.
I just looked at that auction for those 7FAM's, and the guy jacked my pics, for his auction. Those are the pair I took pics of, on my Dad's car. Shady ass seller! The actual pics weren't his at all. Such a lazy fuck, and a crook. He knew what the fuck he was doing. In those situations, I always leave good feedback, because I got my item, but I talk shit in the feedback. Truthfully of course, but I still give others the heads up. Sorry, but I either forgot to tag my pics, or the guy just chopped that part off. He did shrink them a bit.

^^^ I know seaglow works on some stuff. I know it works for Icy bottom shoes and maybe white midsoles.

Hehe, SeaGlow works pretty damn good for oxidized/yellow soles. If you're just talking about cleaning up your dirty soles, then Jason Markk and a microfiber will definitely do the trick.
Here's my seaglow thread:
