Man, you sized up a whole size on those Old Skools? Clean pick up, but in my experience, shoes curl up and shape poorly when you wear them too big. I guess if you have wide feet it's different.

Yeah, dude. It blows my mind how people can wear a 1- 2 shoe size variant from their actual size. I've bought 2 pairs of 8.5 (normal size 8) and feel nothing short of a clown.

Yeah this has baffled me for years.. I mean, there's people with size 9-11 size ranges. Unless you're wearing multiple pairs of socks, how can this work??

It's called fat feet yo! We have wider feet, from all the fat spreading when we step down. Before I met my girl, I wore an 11 perfectly fine...then I started wearing 11.5, and now I prefer 12. Now, as we all know, some shoes are just made differently, as in material, width, inside height, and to me, those are the main factors for comfort. Different footbeds cause different fitment too.

Exactly, I started about 5 years buying vans in 9.5, now I only find 10 or 10.5 comfy, especially after wearing all day on my feet at work.

@ Guam and Ramoer
But what about length? I mean, certain shoes I'll have to size up .5 but it's rare, and the extra length drives me crazy. Plus your shoes develop the curl if there's unused space in the end. And on the pairs I size up with, I can feel the toes catching and the ground as I walk. It's not comfortable to walk differently in order to wear different sizes. But you guys are talking about 11-12, and 9.5-10.5. I sort of meant specifically those dudes that go from say.. 9-11. haha

I hear ya, and yeah the extra toe length is something I just live with. I guess I've changed the way I walk over the years, and don't notice it as much. Then again, I don't spend all day in my Vans either. It would kill my feet and my back, haha.
