Which ones u like best Guam?

I dunno Jake, probably the black. I'm kinda upset that they used that damn cardboard (or whatever's inside the ankle padding!) on these. The last Supreme MC's didn't have that, and they're nice and comfy, especially around the ankles. The new 20th Anniversary Half Cabs have the same crap inside them as well. Makes them feel super cheap. I don't know man. That's the only major thing. Oh, and I'm also mad that I got a motherfuckin' "Burnt Sienna" pair instead of a "Red" pair like the picture showed! ...Ehh, but what're you gonna do, right?

I got mine in yesterday. Kinda bummed that the red doesn't pop like it appeared in the pics. Meh.

Yeah it seems like red is alot more toned down than as advertised but im stll happy. That cardboard crap is the stiffness i was referring too in an earlier post... it definitely doesn't make the shoe as comfortable as they could be. And the 20011s def didnt have that. Overall I am very happy I just hope that Supreme keeps pumping out more colorways!

Sorry to hear that the red is disappointing fella's. That being the only color I wanted, I'm pretty happy I held back. The black ones seem awesome to me now, since I forgot about the Carroll laces, but I gotta ask, how worth the price are they with that carboard factor to someone who wasn't partial to the shoe when it released last year?

It's iconic, and being a shoe collector, it wouldn't sway my decision on buying some. I hope there's some sort of technological reason for making the ankle padding this way, because who would ever want that, in their right mind?!?

blue doesn't pop as much either but i like them.

Is all the stiffness from using super heavy duty materials for skating? It seems to me like these would take a beating. Perhaps the super high density foam(cardboard, haha) would probably absorb a lot of shock as well. Then again, the traditional half cab padding also seems like it'd do the trick... I don't have a pair of the MC's from the last release, but I do feel like these will be alright after some break in time.

Back when MC got his pro model, didn't he basically just say to put his name on a HC?

Not having seen these, I can't comment for sure, but my guess would be a cost cutting measure, since HC padding is just fine for skating. It doesn't need fortifying in the least.

For anyone curious about the material, it's identical to the 20th Anniversary Half Cab that's in all Vans stores right now. Pick up the newest one, the white pair, and feel the padding around the ankle. It's freakin' cardboard man! Hehe.

Yeah they feel like they might cut up ur ankles at first lol

yeah I did feel the spots where I would get a blister but I think I'm gonna double sock the first couple times I wear them… or at least until they are broken in.
