Yeah but now days, you can account for almost half of the inventory depleting due to the Supreme hypebeast resellers. That's not a true marker of demand. With the exception of the burgundy and beige, I don't see these reselling for much more than retail. People are just tying up their money, to make a few dollars. Is the metallic jazz stripe enough to make this shoe unique in about a year or so? I don't think so, but I could be wrong.

Mike Carroll's and corduroy checkered authentic's are already dipping below retail on ebay, so I figure if you have patience and keep looking, you'll get a good deal in a few months once people just want to unload their stock.

Corduroy checkered authentic > Metallic OS/Chukka all day.

Those and the MC's are definitely the best supreme releases so far this year.

I hope so resellers lose money on this(and earlier release's).

So other than the price point, what's making these so much more disliked than the jazz stripe syndicates? Or even the snakeskin, mesh or gum sole Supreme old skools? Especially those, I guess, since they're probably even more comparable in materials and price. I felt the same about all those releases as I do with these. Perhaps part of it is that the metallic hits are harder to get across just in images online.
I think some variation on materials would've really made these better. All suede seems to run counter to the metallic stripe, so smooth leather or even a nice canvas would've been better on the quarter or somewhere else on the shoe to give it some contrast. Variation in materials is what seems to help the snakeskin, mesh and gum sole releases feel more inspired, at least in my opinion. I know some people do have a thing for snakeskin, and I guess for me, I've always had a thing for metallic or reflective hits, so that's my attraction to these (old skool and/or a sk8-hi with a 3M reflective stripe, please!).
I do think that like those, these are gonna be much better on feet and it'll be interesting to see pictures as people get them. I really never cared much about the snakeskin or mesh old skools until I saw pictures of people wearing them.

Yeah Kyle, and Supreme releases are either really bold and wild, or they're so subtle, they get mistaken for GR's, and perhaps that's the idea. Or perhaps they're just fucking with people, haha! Like on that Pink Dolphin tip.

So much better in person! I'm glad these turned out as well as I was hoping. I figured that they'd look better than in the promo pics, and they definitely do. The insole isn't the Pro insole, as in most of the recent Supreme releases, but is the glued in one that's been in a lot of them. Actually might be a bit more cushioned than most of the Supreme glued-in insoles. They definitely feel good. They look good on feet, too. Remind me a lot of the Rodney Smith old skools. (don't mind the pants, I tried 'em on as soon as I got home from work. Not sure if I'd rock these with tan pants, but it's not too bad I guess)
Also came with two stickers and a lookbook for this season. Way more extra stuff than I've ever gotten from Supreme. Usually I just get one sticker.

got my burgundy old skools yesterday. they look so good in person. the toe on one of the foot beds was all jammed up and folded under at the toes though. luckily it wasn't glued in that spot and i could reach in and get it laying flat. hopefully after a wear or two i won't be able to notice anything was weird.
