Ok, so these came out of nowhere! Normally, a Taka Hayashi model gets some fairly early previewing but not this time. The TH Chukka LX from Vans Vault has been kept under wraps, and until now we we’re wondering when the next TH design was going to drop. Well a day after the conversation was sparked in our forums, these popped up on Hypebeast, and it’s about time. We need our Taka collabs man! The shoe is a new design, but labeled as a Chukka TH. I guess the TH allows it to be considered an entirely different shoe, which it is. It has style cues from the Akat LX, another Taka Hayashi designed Vans Vault model, and is wrapped in canvas and premium Horween leather. They also feature leather laces, Taka’s signature feather logo on the tongue, and a woven lining. They’ll be available in 3 colors: Black, Dark Khaki, and Dark Slate. Let’s hope these don’t reach anywhere near the $200 mark like the last TH release!

It’s not very often that we come across some interesting and rare items, but if anyone were to have these, it would be OTWS member Erwin. He seems to find some super unique, highly collectable Vans to add to his massive collection. If you’ve never seen it, then join our forums, and go to the members only section and see what I mean. He has an entire room with most of his Vans on shelving displays! Anyways, these must have been part of the Cowboy pack, that also consisted of a few pony hair Chukkas and such. It came out a few years ago, but these never made it to production. Probably because they cost too much! Look at the level of detail, and quality there. Just like a realy cowboy boot, these are constructed with premium leather, in a two-tone brown and cream colorway, with uppers reaching as high as your typical cowboy boot. Sitting on a gum sole, you can be sure to get your ranch duties done without affecting the appearance of these babies! The intricately detailed stitchwork on the heel panel is also a nice touch, that adds a level of authenticity to them. These are a sample womens sz9, and were found in Europe, so who knows how they got there, but I’m glad Erwin shared them with us, so that I could share them with y’all!

Take a look at these upcoming Vans Vault Authentics! Being that there’s no info on these as of yet, I am going to label them as samples, but I couldn’t resist sharing these photos with you guys. What makes this Authentic unique, is the addition of the suede panel placed around the ankle collar, which has been neatly stitched with a triangle pattern. This particular beige pair, has a purple lining, and the material seems to be somewhat of a twill material, found on khaki chino pants. They feature a smooth, stripeless foxing and toe bumper, and utilize the siped nautical sole, which is found on the more dressier Vans Vault releases. No info as of yet, but if anything arises, we will keep you posted!

The collection arrives in two colorways and features the same all-over-print floral “Palm Leaf” motif as its low-top Era LX iterations. The Summer OG pack pays homage to some of the most timeless classics and iconic patterns from the Vans lineage. As expected the Sk8-Hi is constructed with a customary padded ankle collar, a white outsole, and tonal laces. Also notice the OG shape as well.

“Vans is digging deep into its vault — all the way back to 1975, for this special edition OG Era LX Pack for the (no pun intended) Vans Vault Summer 2012 collection. The OG Era LX shoe is, as the title implies, a homage to the classic that stays true to the same foxing heights, branding, padding density, and fit of the original as designed by Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta. The pack consists of two different colorways, and is expected to land at Vans Vault stockists beginning this June.

The OG Pack from Vans Vault has been garnering some attention lately, and with the addition of these two models, this pack is going to be a for sure hit! In keeping with the theme of using classic prints from the 80’s, the Sk8-Hi and Era LX will feature the “Palm Leaf” print in two colorways for each model: Black with grey print, and White with navy print. The shoes also take on that 80’s “Made in the USA” shape, and even feature the silk-screened heel tab. Sick! Be on the look out for these in June from your local Vault dealer.

This year seems to be focused on Vans’ heritage, with the multiple releases in classic models and colorways. Well, the Vault team is contributing by releasing the Slip-On in an LX version, in the four classic staple colors, black, blue, white, and black & white checkerboard. These feature a blue Vans tag, instead of the usual red one, and also feature the silk-screen printed heel tab, which we last saw on the Ray Barbee Vault release, which was inspired by the mid 90’s “Made in the U.S.A.” models. Being that these are a Vault release, they’ll also feature the padded sockliner, so that’s an added benefit as well. Look for these soon, at your local Vault dealer!

Here’s another great model from the Vans Vault label. This 106 Vulc LX is a perfect Springtime shoe, with it’s super lightweight canvas material, and toned down colors. Available in 3 colorways: China Blue, Olive Night, and Plaza Taupe, these also feature square leather laces, and tonal double-wide foxing stripes sitting on top of all white soles. These should be available this month at your local Vault dealer.

One of the most comfortable pair of Vans ever made, is the Sk8-Hi Notchback, or the Sk8-Hi Vert Pro. That simple cut-out of the top ankle portion of the shoe makes all the difference, and if you’ve never owned a pair of either one, then Vans Vault has these amazing Sk8-Hi Notchback LX’s coming out soon. Constructed with the most premium nubuck suede, expect these to have a higher price point than your last year’s Vans Vaults. Prices have gone up, but if they keep releasing proper designs and colorways like these, they should have no problem selling. These will be available in 3 colorways: Classic Grey, Classic Blue, and a golden brown colorway that we don’t know the name of just yet! These should be hitting your local Vault dealer soon, if not already.
