Juxtaposed against the unaltered suede panels are slim windowpane check patterns, complementing the contrast stitching seen throughout. Words via Feature:

“Inspired by Las Vegas’ sleepless nights and blurred yet unforgettable memories, we bring to you our latest collaboration. Officially titled the “Sinner’s Club” Pack, this project includes two of Vans’ most iconic silhouettes, the Classic Slip-On and Old Skool, as well as apparel from Mitchell & Ness offering two sets of warmup suits, velour basketball shorts, a tee and a hat – which will be available exclusively at Feature.

Crafted with a luxurious finish in mind, the sneakers feature a premium suede and velvet construction on the upper in shades of black, plum, and red. A metallic patent leather finish covers Vans’ signature Side Stripe on the Old Skool, which is further accented by contrasting pink stitching throughout. Green hits on the tongue trim and on both of the sneaker’s foxing stripe symbolize the money spent in the city. An embroidered cabaret silhouette is seen at the forefoot of the Classic Slip-On and the heel of the Old Skool to further exemplify Las Vegas’ Gentlemen’s Club motif. Further details include an all-over money graphic on the dual-branded insoles, semi-translucent waffle outsoles, and black and green “Off The Wall” heel license plates. Metallic silver trim along the Classic Slip-On’s upper and the Old Skool’s pink faux fur tongue lining give the pack a finished look. The collection will come with two extra sets of laces, as well as a custom velour dust bag and packaging. Heritage brand, Mitchell and Ness, rounds up the collaborative effort with a Sinner’s Club branded capsule collection. Pick yours up at our in-store release party this Friday March 2, 2018 at 6PM PST and online Saturday March 3, 2018 at 7AM PT/10AM ET.”

Flying Dog Brewery – “Year of the Flying Dog” Sk8-Hi (Free give-away!) #YearOfTheFlyingDog @FlyingDog

Vans Bar Shot

Here’s something for all of you (and us) craft brew enthusiasts out there!  Frederick, Maryland’s very own Flying Dog Brewery has come out with their Flying Dog Sk8-Hi, featuring custom artwork by the iconic artist Ralph Steadman, who you may recall from his illustrations in Hunter S. Thompson’s 1971 novel “Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas“.  That’s not the only thing that adds to the coolness of these Sk8-Hi’s!  Although this isn’t the first time we’ve seen an alcoholic beverage brand on the side of a pair of Vans (i.e. Coors Light, Coors Extra Gold, and Pabst, to name a few), this IS the first pair of Vans created by a craft brewery, so that’s something yeah?  Oh, did we mention that there’s only 50 pairs made?  Did we also mention that Flying Dog is going to be giving them away through their social media and you’ll also have a second chance by signing up on their website?  Who doesn’t love free Vans?!  Also, according to the pics, these appear to be a Vault OG release, by way of the “ORIGINALS” heeltab.  If they are in fact LX’s, then that’s just icing on the cake for us Vans snobs!

Here’s a little excerpt from Flying Dog:

“Good Beer. No Shit.” It’s not just a mantra; it courses through our veins. It’s everything we stand for. What is it for you that makes you stand tall and stick it to the man?  We kind-of had to do something awesome for the #yearofthedog, so we’re giving away 50 pairs of limited-edition #Vans #Sk8-Hi ‘s designed by Flying Dog. Vault by Vans – OG Style 238 LX (Feb. 2018)

Generaladmission-VANS_VAULT_OG_Style_238_LX_Marshmallow_Light_Gum4_2048x2048

Accompanying the OG Old Skool LX’s for this month’s OG Vault release, we also get these amazing OG Style 238 LX’s aka the Native American.  These take you back to the late 80’s to early 90’s.  Beefed up with extra protection, the Style 238 was designed with the vert and pool skaters in mind, and featured a rubber toe cap, and rubberized ollie pad.  Since Long Beach’s very own Vault by Vans dealer Proper’s reintroduction of the shoe about a decade ago, the Style 138 has only popped up a few times, most notably with the Supreme versions, which took inspiration from original colorways from the old Vans Made In The USA archive.  These are a nice addition to that legacy, and the color and suede/canvas material combo makes them look like they are right from that same era.  Great job with these, Vans designers!  Once again, thank you General Admission for the pics!

Vault by Vans – OG Old Skool LX (Feb. 2018)

Check out the latest round of Vault OG Old Skool LX’s to drop.  Although, the collection has been mostly under wraps, I feel that this pack will not be around for long.  They’ve finally answered our cries for an OG Old Skool in the classic black/white colorway with contrast white stitching, aka the “GR”, aka the “One You Buy For Your Kids”, aka the “Basic Bitch” lol.  Now, you can step your game up and get on board with something that only us Vans snobs care about!  They’re done up in the classic suede/canvas material combo that the OG Old Skool LX is known for, and the colors.  Whew, the colors people!!!  Check out that dope Ashrose/Black pair.  Very similar to the ArcAd x Santa Cruz pair.  If you missed out on that one, then get these.  The Black/White is a must, and the Marshmallow/Light Gum is a little out of left field, but if you’ve ever had a pair of gum sole Vans, you’ll appreciate how clean they stay, or appear to stay at least.  These are starting to pop up at various Vault dealers, so I won’t shout out any specific shops, but I will give credit to Feature, and General Admission for the pics.  Thanks guys in advance!
