Silo Featured On The Vans Syndicate Site!

Vans Syndicate has recently featured our great friend Brant, and his shop Silo, on their official website, and some of you newer folks and customer’s of Brant can finally put a face to the friendly person you may or may not have met yet. Read the article here. He just opened Silo’s second location in Omaha, NE, which will be offering all things that he likes, and in his words: “Our new space will be more tightly curated, featuring a very select hardgoods brand offering, our favorite shoes, and apparel built to last. We are emphasizing quality and value above all. As we get older, certain aspects of our daily life become more important, and this location hopes to capture that. Long winded way of saying I am carrying exactly what I want.” This is a big year for our brotha’ Brant. A new shop, a new house, and his first baby on the way with his awesome wife! Congrats, and we wish you the best of luck. UTP owes you for the majority of what we are, and for that we thank you!

The Authentic Pro “S” featuring original Blender artwork, and the Chukka Low WC “S”, featuring Vans WAFFLECUP™ outsole construction for an all new take on a Vans Pro Skate staple.”

This is the first time we’ve seen the Waffle Cup on a Chukka Lo, so if you guys have any opinions about it, let us know on the forums. The Authentic Pro “S” has a nice hue of grey on it, and they should do quite well. The Neil Blender Turtle bobblehead that comes with each pair is also a nice surprise! Go cop now on Silostore!

Vans Syndicate 025.154 – “AVE/Dill Pack” AV Classic “S” & AV Classic High “S” (Available Now @silostore)

The next Vans Syndicate release has been popping up at local “S” dealers, and this time, AVE and Dill are back at it, bringing some fresh and original ideas to the table. For this 025.154 release, they’ve created a new model, in a high and low, that’s really an update to the Native American model, which Anthony Van Engelen turned into a low, dubbed the AV Native American Low. The AV Classic is a deconstructed version of that shoe, with as few panels needed as possible. Most of the lines of the shoe come from the detailed stitching, but the focal point of both shoes are definitely the materials used. The AV Classic “S” features a spider web pattern on black canvas for the entire shoe, while the AV Classic High “S” features a premium leather construction, similar to a Chuck, and featuring the Mr. Cartoon “S” on the inside ankle. There’s a perforated jazz stripe, as well as a spider web textured design on the side wall of the vulc sole. Our homie Brant from Silo spoke with Neal at Syndicate, and he said “The molding on the Classic High “S” is inspired by the spiderwebs AVE was carving into his boards, and DILL’s inspiration was a riff off that — wanting a heavy texture and for it to come off looking like a mesh.” This release has something to offer for everybody. Whether you’re style is low-key and simple, or loud and attention grabbing. There are also a few other special things to note. DRAWER BOXES ARE BACK!!! Yep, that’s right. This is a must for the collector, as we like to stack our boxes high. Thank you Vans Syndicate!!! Also, there are a few goodies included with this pack. A dope Syndicate “S” keychain is included with each pair, as well as a few cool new sticker designs. Vans Syndicate x 8Five2 – Authentic “S” & Cab-Lite “S” (Video and pics)

The latest international Vans Syndicate release is scheduled to drop soon, this time with Hong “Muthafucking” Kong’s very own 8FIVE2 skate shop. This will be their third Syndicate release, and their fourth Vans release. You may recall their Versa Mid “S” with the white toecap, as well as their Seylynn “S” which was technically a Zero Lo “S”. Their non-“S” release was a black Chukka Low, wrapped in premium black leather, with their signature floral camo pattern on the lining, in some purple hues. This time they will be releasing two models, the Authentic “S”, and the Cab-Lite “S”, both wrapped in their signature floral pattern, but this time in a tan and golden colorway. Both pairs feature brown accents throughout, and sit on top of all white vulcanized soles. 8Five2 has put out this awesome video, and I’ve attached a few pics of the shoes after the jump. Both shoes are now available for purchase from 8FIVE2’s webshop!

Fun fact: Those of you who are new to Vans collecting, and those of you who were original Offthewallsite (RIP) members, may have never heard of their first collab, the all black Chukka Low, with this same floral print (except in purple) for the inside lining. It released sometime between the old and new OTWS, and wasn’t on a lot of people’s radar, but being that they were produced in limited numbers, they attracted a few of us die-hard collectors. Mine are still on ice!
