Our good friends, over at Silo, have just received the highly anticipated Syndicate x W)Taps collection, and will be available for purchase in store today. Shown here are the Authentic 69’s, in the two Dr. Marten inspired colorways. These have got to be the best pictures out there right now, and those who may have been on the fence will know for sure now, if this is a must cop. I think I know the answer to that!

As the release nears, there are more pics surfacing of the upcoming W)Taps Sk8-mid shoe. The new pics reveal that the heel rubber isn’t overlapping, similar to the latest Supreme x Vans collabo, thus creating a flat/wider heel tab. The traditionalists are already shaking their heads, but most will not even notice, while their attention is drawn to the sick looking spider webs.

It’s been a minute since the last W)Taps release from Vans Syndicate, and this release is looking to be another home run hit. We’ve already seen spy shots of the Authentics, and the blue Sk8-mids, but now we have some actual press photos to go along with them! It’s now confirmed that there will be a black pair of Sk8-mids joining the navy pair. The writing, and spider web stitching is still present, thankfully! It’s also confirmed that the hang tags on the Authentics, will be deleted. Wish those would’ve stayed, so people will instantly notice the Dr. Marten insipration. The Authentics are giving a nod to the W)Taps x Dr. Marten release that is also due out right about now. Peep the jump for another pic of the release. We will have more pics soon, so be patient!

The Vans info has been a little slow lately, so you know what that means! Time for another feature on an OTWS fam’s recent pickup. This week, it’s something that I came across recently. I’ve seen them before, but never paid much attention to them. They’re a sample pair of Syndicate V-79 “S” shoes, which was part of the Steve Olson pack from the 008 Syndicate series. This pair is not very well known, but it should’ve been released if you ask me. It has a black and gray checkerboard pattern, that is covered in a nylon mesh netting, so that you can still make out the said pattern. These have a black toecap, compared to the white that was on the released version, and there is a snakeskin strip on the heel, in the same material found on the HUF snakeskin Chukka. These are unreleased samples, which means they are indeed a rare find! What do you think of these? Should Vans have released this pair alongside the others in the Olson series?

HKnow1edge over on Hypebeast blogs, has given the internet a preview of a previously unseen sample, from the upcoming W)Taps x Vans collaboration. This time choosing to use a Sk8-Mid as one of their bases. Shown here is the blue model, done up in a blue suede with white contrast stitching. Being that it’s a W)Taps release, you better believe that there’s more to it than just that. Up close detail shots give us a better look at the apparent spider theme. A stitched web can be found above the Jazz “wave” stripe, as well as some artistic writing on the actual wave, similar to a prior Sk8-Hi model that W)Taps did, as part of the “No Guts, No Glory” series. The inner lining also has a print with a bunch of creepy little spiders all over it! Looks like they just hatched! The heel tab has an embroidered message reading, “way of life”, and the well known W)Taps tongue tag was also used on these. They will also be available in a black colorway, and should be hitting your Syndicate retailers in about a month or so.

Syndicate accounts, like Premier, have posted that these have shown up, and are ready for sale. Here’s some site pics that they took, for another perspective on these bad boys. Will you be copping?

This is a late reminder, but these Luke Meier Zero Lo’s from the latest Syndicate collection, have been starting to drop at your local Syndicate accounts, such as one of our forum regulars, Silo in Grand Island, NE. Word is, they still got some pairs available, and hit up our OTWS member, Brant (silokinesis), for more details on how you can grab a pair from them. Vans is starting to take their distribution more seriously now, with their premium Syndicate and Vault lines, so finding these online is becoming more and more rare. Stick with OTWS for that hook-up!

The Vans Syndicate group has released a video trailer for their newest release, the Zero Low “S”, designed by Luke Meier of Supreme. Word is, these are already showing up at some Syndicate dealers, like Supreme.

“Vans Syndicate gave Supreme’s Luke Meier the reigns to its latest project, the Zero Lo. The result was this refined sneaker that channels both luxury elements and the classic Vans skate heritage. Premium suede is used for the entirety of the upper, with the exception of a small patch on the forefoot that makes use of full grain leather. Available in 3 colorways, black, tan, and burgundy. A white sole sits underneath and the laces and eyelets are also white.” Check your local Syndicate dealers for these, like Concepts.

“This new Vans Syndicate sneaker pays tribute to Christian Hosoi, the legendary skater with a checkered past. A vulcanized version of the Bash, which WTAPS created in 2008, this shoe is now available to Japanese consumers in two colorways.
Premium suede and nubuck work along the mudguard of both pairs. Meanwhile, the leather is perforated on the foremost panel and heel and is quilted elsewhere. The first pair is black and uses red accents, while the second uses the same colors, but relies on a red majority.”
