Here, we bring to you the other model in the Vans Syndicate x Rodney Smith collection, the Old Skool O.G. “S”. This other release that we had no idea about, came as a nice surprise, being that the Old Skool is one of the most popular models from Vans Syndicate. When the first pics dropped yesterday, of this red beauty, I knew I had to hit up Brant from Silo, for some better pictures! I begged and pleaded for him to get me some good detailed shots, to help you make that final decision if you should cop, after already dropping a few dollars on the recent Supreme release! I think there’s no question, that you should have these! Brant also included a few shots of the classified brief, and another nice store display pic. We’ve been anxiously awaiting the latest Syndicate drop, and it’s finally here! This time, Vans Syndicate teamed up with New York City skateboarding OG, Rodney Smith, to create these solid Native American O.G. “S”‘s, seen here in a mixture of navy suede and tumbled leather. We’ve been patiently waiting for the next drop from Syndicate, but we don’t have to wait any longer, thanks to Brant at Silo. These were kept on the down low, fairly well I must say! The Versa is known as a core shoe, found at your local Vans store, but the Syndicate team, being known to introduce new models for Vans, have just dropped these Versa Mids. These have been given the “deconstructed” approach, using 10 oz. waxed cotton canvas, combined with some great military-esque colorways, of black or brown spice, and the end result is what you see below. I’m definitely feeling these, and I want both colorways!

Vans Syndicate “Rodney Smith” Native American- Fall 2011

This is the first look at the Fall Syndicate release, a collaboration with NYC skateboarder Rodney Smith. This time, a model normally seen with the Vault group these days, the Native American, was chosen. Done up primarily in black suede, with a black leather heel panel, with a white standard vulcanized sole. The heel includes the same “NYC Skateboarding” tab that was used on the Andy Kessler pack, a few seasons ago. There is no info on the source of these pics just yet, but they were shared with us by OTWS member erwin. Thanks for the info sir!

Always going that extra mile to showcase the latest Syndicate release, and the back story, which almost all Syndicate releases have, Brant of Silo has shared a few pics of his display in the shop. I wish more shops paid this much attention, and respect, to the Syndicate line. It is truly a quality product, and deserves this kind of a spotlight. The price is completely justified, as long as it’s marketed as such…AND…shops are allowed to sell online, to get the shoes into the hands of those who have a very hard time finding it. Ask any shop that struggles with Syndicate, if they used to struggle with it when they were allowed to sell online. I really don’t think so.
