Here’s the first official video of the Vans Syndicate x 8FIVE2 Seylynn “S”. The limited edition Seylynn “S” comes in a black and imperial blue colorway and features 8FIVE2’s iconic graphic with five-petal Hong Kong orchid tree flower camouflage, which has been used on all past 8FIVE2 collabs. The 8FIVE2 x Vans Syndicate Seylynn “S” will be available at the 8FIVE2SHOP located in Causeway Bay in Hong Kong on December 1 for $790 HKD (approximately $101 USD).
It looks like Hong Kong skateshop 8FIVE2 is set to drop their latest collaboration project with Vans Syndicate. They’re dubbing the shoe as the “Seylynn S”. Not sure what makes it different from a Zero Lo “S”, but we’ll just call it what they’re calling it. We’ve been following this release for about a year now, and it’s finally here. This Friday, 8FIVE2 will be hosting an event from 8PM til’ LATE, including live music by Jun Kung & Band. Here’s part two of the Julien Stranger Pack from Vans Syndicate. Let’s just say that this one arrived fashionably late, but it’s all good. With these releases coming in droves right now, it’s making us Vans collectors have to pick and choose which ones we want to spend our money on. This one is going to be a definite cop for me. With the perforated navy suede, and the tonal colorway chosen, these will be another everyday wear shoe. Time to give my jazz stripe Old Skool’s a rest! Not that you’d ever know that if were to have a look at his feet though. Julien’s feet are disgusting; the unfortunate result of a strong aversion to wearing socks. Recognizing that he surely mustn’t be alone in this plight, for Julien’s Holiday Syndicate collaboration, he set out to reconstruct a couple of his favorite Vans styles for the expressed aim of sockless wearability and comfort.”

I woke up this morning to some awesome news, that one of the Los Angeles Lakers’ newest members, Steve Nash, was rockin’ some straight up Vans heat last night on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno! How cool is that? I mean, celebs are seen rocking your typical GR sneaker, here or there, and possibly even a clean looking model, such as a CA or Vault release, but Syndicates?! C’mon son! These things were a straight up mission if you weren’t in the know when they originally released, and they sure as hell aren’t just sitting on shelves at your local skate shop. Most sneaker boutiques don’t even carry Syndicates, and the only ones on their stylist’s radar would be Supreme, Supreme, or Supreme. Mad props to Mr. Nash, on rocking some truly respected Vans right here. Justin Timberlake was probably like “where can I get those, dawg?”

Here’s the first look at the next Vans Syndicate release, coming in under the 021 series, this Era Pro “S” features a mustard and brown “Anti Hero” colorway, with perforated suede. This will be part of the Julien Stranger pack, also featuring an Old Skool “S” with the same perforated suede, but in another colorway. Stay tuned for that one, but until then, just admire the change up from the seemingly normal black and blue colors that we’ve been receiving lately! Check out some of the cool technology that is being featured on this release, and am I reading that correctly? Are there going to be two sets of insoles for these? Nice! Definitely a must cop for me!
