Vans x Supreme – Authentic “Checkers & Corduroy” (S/S 2012)

This latest Vans collaboration with Supreme is going to be an interesting one.  The Authentic model seen here, has been wrapped primarily in a printed black & white checkerboard canvas, but the toe panel utilizes premium corduroy, in four pastel looking colorways: Ice Blue, Seafoam, Pale Yellow, and Coral.  The colors are reminiscent of late 70s to early 80s fashion, and should be a great addition to your Summer lineup.  There will be no mistaking that these are in fact Supremes.  A few pairs have already been circulating around the net with uncertainty as to if and when they were releasing.  Some even took it as far as to say they were fakes, but now we know for sure that they’re not.  They’re set to release next Thursday, June 14th exclusively at Supreme.  Will you be copping these?

Vans x Supreme – Authentic “Checkers & Corduroy (unofficial)” (Samples)

All of this Supreme news is too much to handle!  Following the Chukka Boot and Old Skool Metallic Pack, we now have info on a 3rd (hopefully) upcoming release from Vans and Supreme.  An Authentic, constructed primarily in checkered print canvas, with corduroy on the toe panel.  Available in at least 3 colorways: Yellow, Red, and Green, in some subtle, pastel tones, which contrast nicely with the black and white checkers that Vans is known for.  Each pair sits on top of a standard white sole, with black foxing stripe, and features silver metal lace eyelets for that finishing touch.  What are your thoughts on these?

Vans x Supreme – Old Skool “Metallic Pack (unofficial)” (Samples)

Releasing alongside the Chukka, looks to be these Old Skools.  Designed in the same color combos as the Chukka Boot, but we also see the addition of a Green/Gold colorway, and perhaps the minus of a few colorways, leaving some exclusivity between the two models.  No definite info on these either, but stay tuned to our forums, and possibly here on OFFTHEWALLSITE for any new info as it becomes available.  Now go out there, and get them Campbell’s Soupremes!

Vans x Supreme – Chukka “Metallic Pack (unofficial)” (Samples)

So did everyone see the news about the latest Supreme release dropping this upcoming Thursday?  Yeah, sometimes that’s already old news with the internet these days, case in point, we’ve already stumbled upon some pics of another up and coming release from Supreme.  Now, all the info is unofficial, but as with most Supreme leaks, they usually end up releasing some time in the future.  I’ve dubbed these the “metallic pack”, due to the small accents of metallic color on each shoe.  The Chukka seen here, will be available in a few colorways: Purple/Gold Metallic, Navy/Teal Metallic, Black/Silver Metallic, Maroon/Silver Metallic, and Beige/Red Metallic.  The sockliner has a houndstooth pattern, and the sole is all white, for that clean and simple Spring/Summer look.  Stay up to date on our forums, for any new info!

Vans x Supreme – Campbell’s Soup Authentic, Half Cab, & Sk8-Hi (S/S 2012)

info via Supreme:

“The Campbell’s soup can label is one of the most recognizable product labels in the world and has been a part of the American landscape for over 100 years. It was propelled further into the national psyche with Andy Warhol’s various renditions of the labels throughout the 1960’s and 70’s.

Supreme has teamed up with Campbell’s to create a small group of products highlighting this iconic label. The group will include three classic Vans styles – the Sk8-Hi, the Half Cab, and the Authentic, as well as a 5-Panel cap and a T-Shirt.

Available in-store in NY, LA, London and online on May 10th. Available now in Japan.”

Vans x Supreme – Campbell’s Soup Collection (coming soon?)

Supreme’s been doing a pretty nice job of keeping their releases from being leaked lately, but this is a nice twist to what we thought we knew already.  We’ve all seen the Campbell’s Soup Authentic already, and dubbed it the “Soupremes”, which we speculated to be part of an Andy Warhol tribute collection, and it turns out we were correct.  What we didn’t know, was that there were two other models releasing as well,  a Sk8-Hi, and a Half Cab.  The Sk8-Hi is blocked out in the traditional black suede, on the toe, tongue, upper, and heel panels, with the soup can print on the side panels.  The Half Cab will be similar to the Authentic, with an all-over print theme.  The difference, is the black laces, for a nice contrast.  There’s no other info on these at the moment, so just sit tight until Supreme makes an official announcement on these.  Which one(s) do you want?

Vans x Supreme MC “Mike Carroll” Comparison (by @jacobmontana)

OTWS member jacobmontana is the unofficial spokesperson for the Mike Carroll signature Vans shoe.  He has somehow amassed every single original colorway of the OG, “made in the USA” models, and when Supreme released the MC last year, you can imagine the backflipping and fist pumps that were going on in front of his computer when he got the news.  Well, fast forward to two weeks ago, and another surprise MC release was dropped on us, this time in a few OG colorways, as well as some more current, “Supreme-esque” colors.  Perhaps that’s why this release sold much more quickly.  Who am I kidding?  It’s because of the Supremies!  (copyrighted…jk).  Well enough of that.  Jacobmontana has taken some time out to give us a quick comparison of the OG and the Supreme version.  The first thing you may notice, is the shape.  I guess Vans didn’t have an original to work with, because the material overlap, and the stitching seem to not really match.  It’s as if it was reconstructed based off of photos or a drawing.  It’s close, but no cigar!  Of course, the vulcanized rubber is different as well, since the originals were crafted in the USA and a different rubber compound was utilized back then.  For the most part, that’s it.  I’m still grateful that we get to even own a “retro” if you will, of one of the most sought after OG Vans, and it’s all thanks to Supreme and Vans.  Big thanks to jacobmontana for sharing some pics for all of us!
