Vans Chukka Del Barco Decon CA 2011 (samples)

I was combing through eBay, looking for the usual, and I came across these 3 pairs of Chukka Del Barco CA samples, from CollectiveLTD, which have been given the “Deconstruct” treatment, similar to the Sk8-Hi versions.  According to the auction info, these are due out in 2011, and the 3 colorways are go very well with the overall shoe design.  Each one is constructed in a canvas material, and they all share the same brown leather lacing, and white midsoles.  The 3 colors are, White/Dress Blues with a navy foxing stripe,  Black/True White with a black foxing stripe, and Shitake/True White with a shitake foxing stripe.  No release info, but these samples are definitely on point.

Vans x Rockstar Energy Sk8-hi SAMPLE (RIF Exclusive!)

The fine gents over at RIF in Los Angeles keep bringing them heaters, and this time it’s something you most definitely haven’t seen before.  Seems like a customer has brought in a pair of sample Sk8-hi’s that Vans made for Rockstar Energy Drink.  According to RIF there are only 2 pairs of these kicks made.  They didn’t mention the size, and they haven’t set a price on these yet, so just call them up, or head down to the shop to check them out, if you’re in the Little Tokyo area of downtown Los Angeles.  Follow the jump for the detailed pics of the release, and shout outs to the fellow OTWS member Murad on the video!  Tell Jeff to jump on the forum and say what’s up!

Pickups: DJ Guamstyles’ Sample Syndicate Olson V-79 “S”

The Vans info has been a little slow lately, so you know what that means! Time for another feature on an OTWS fam’s recent pickup. This week, it’s something that I came across recently.  I’ve seen them before, but never paid much attention to them.  They’re a sample pair of Syndicate V-79 “S” shoes, which was part of the Steve Olson pack from the 008 Syndicate series. This pair is not very well known, but it should’ve been released if you ask me. It has a black and gray checkerboard pattern, that is covered in a nylon mesh netting, so that you can still make out the said pattern. These have a black toecap, compared to the white that was on the released version, and there is a snakeskin strip on the heel, in the same material found on the HUF snakeskin Chukka. These are unreleased samples, which means they are indeed a rare find! What do you think of these? Should Vans have released this pair alongside the others in the Olson series?

Vans x Seven For All Mankind Old Skool (Sample)

Also acquired through eBay, like the Authentics recently posted, these appear to be from the same collaboration with premium jean maker Seven For All Mankind.  These however, don’t appear to be utilizing the snowboard pants material, like the Authentics, but instead opted to go the premium route.  Materials include, their signature denim, premium light beige premium leather, with color matching vulcanized soles, and with a soft perforated leather lining.  Color-matched premium leather that is perforated with the Seven For All Mankind jean pocket logo was used on the toecap and heel, and were finished off with the same padded insole as the other pair.  These are available for purchase on the OTWS web shop, in a mens size 7, and 8.  Follow the jump for more pics as well!

Vans x Seven For All Mankind Authentic (Sample)

Seen here are a pair of pretty interesting samples that I recently acquired through eBay.  It appears to be either a scratched release, or a promotional item.  The tongue backs have the “Sample not for resale” message blacked out with a marker.  So far, what we know, is that Vans and Seven For All Mankind had released a pair of snowboard pants, appearing as a denim jean, but in a waterproof synthetic material.  These samples look to be made up of the same material for the entire shoe.  Notice the tongue’s Seven For All Mankind jean pocket logo.  The shoe is finished off with metal eyelets, and a plaid lining, while the insole is screen printed with both companies’ logos.  There is no info available online for these shoes, so if there is something that any of you can share about these, then I will gladly update this.  Thanks!

Syndicate x W)Taps Sk8-Mid Samples (preview)

HKnow1edge over on Hypebeast blogs, has given the internet a preview of a previously unseen sample, from the upcoming W)Taps x Vans collaboration.  This time choosing to use a Sk8-Mid as one of their bases.  Shown here is the blue model, done up in a blue suede with white contrast stitching.  Being that it’s a W)Taps release, you better believe that there’s more to it than just that.  Up close detail shots give us a better look at the apparent spider theme.  A stitched web can be found above the Jazz “wave” stripe, as well as some artistic writing on the actual wave, similar to a prior Sk8-Hi model that W)Taps did, as part of the “No Guts, No Glory” series.  The inner lining also has a print with a bunch of creepy little spiders all over it!  Looks like they just hatched!  The heel tab has an embroidered message reading, “way of life”, and the well known W)Taps tongue tag was also used on these.  They will also be available in a black colorway, and should be hitting your Syndicate retailers in about a month or so.

Unreleased Vans x Proper Authentic LX

Consignment shop CollectiveLTD just posted up these samples of a Proper x Authentic LX one-piece.  Very similar to the pair that released over a year ago, but done with a premium leather upper, with light blue foxing stripe.  Speculators think that these are an upcoming release, but would Proper want to do a release that was the same as their last?  Most brand collaborations tend to choose a different model than a prior one, but you never know.  What do you think?  They’re available for purchase via eBay here.

Vans x Married to the MOB Sneaker Sample

Womens streetwear label Married to the MOB have been working on a collaboration sneaker with Vans.  Shown here, is their final product, a high top sneaker in an embossed patent leather upper. Originally designed in 3 separate colorways, but unfortunately, MOB has come forward and clarified that these are remaining in the sample stage indefinitely, which makes them even more sought after.  Sorry ladies!
