Here’s something for all of you (and us) craft brew enthusiasts out there! Frederick, Maryland’s very own Flying Dog Brewery has come out with their Flying Dog Sk8-Hi, featuring custom artwork by the iconic artist Ralph Steadman, who you may recall from his illustrations in Hunter S. Thompson’s 1971 novel “Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas“. That’s not the only thing that adds to the coolness of these Sk8-Hi’s! Although this isn’t the first time we’ve seen an alcoholic beverage brand on the side of a pair of Vans (i.e. Coors Light, Coors Extra Gold, and Pabst, to name a few), this IS the first pair of Vans created by a craft brewery, so that’s something yeah? Oh, did we mention that there’s only 50 pairs made? Did we also mention that Flying Dog is going to be giving them away through their social media and you’ll also have a second chance by signing up on their website? Who doesn’t love free Vans?! Also, according to the pics, these appear to be a Vault OG release, by way of the “ORIGINALS” heeltab. If they are in fact LX’s, then that’s just icing on the cake for us Vans snobs!

Straight off the heels of the news of the Metallica Half Cab Pro “20th Anniversary” shoe, we can now share with you the 2013 band series from Vans, and you’ve guessed it, they’ve got Metallica on board for a straight up awesome collection. What makes this release unique, is that Vans let each member of Metallica design their own shoe.

We finally get a sneak peek at the 20th Anniversary Half Cab Pro “Metallica” shoe. It’s been in the rumor mill for about a month now, and there’s been a little bit of talk on the forums as well, but we finally have some pics of what to expect, thanks to Steve Caballero (@steviecab), himsef! Good ‘ol Instagram. He’s out in Atlantic City this weekend for the ORION Music Festival, along with a few other skateboarding legends, to put on a skate demo and signing, and show off these shoes, as well as the 2013 Metallica Band Series Collection. Stay tuned, as we bring that collection to you next!

Erwin’s new sample pickup! (Vans Vault “Cowboy Boot” Sk8-Hi)

It’s not very often that we come across some interesting and rare items, but if anyone were to have these, it would be OTWS member Erwin. He seems to find some super unique, highly collectable Vans to add to his massive collection. If you’ve never seen it, then join our forums, and go to the members only section and see what I mean. He has an entire room with most of his Vans on shelving displays! Anyways, these must have been part of the Cowboy pack, that also consisted of a few pony hair Chukkas and such. It came out a few years ago, but these never made it to production. Probably because they cost too much! Look at the level of detail, and quality there. Just like a realy cowboy boot, these are constructed with premium leather, in a two-tone brown and cream colorway, with uppers reaching as high as your typical cowboy boot. Sitting on a gum sole, you can be sure to get your ranch duties done without affecting the appearance of these babies! The intricately detailed stitchwork on the heel panel is also a nice touch, that adds a level of authenticity to them. These are a sample womens sz9, and were found in Europe, so who knows how they got there, but I’m glad Erwin shared them with us, so that I could share them with y’all!

Vans Vault – Authentic (Samples 2012?)

Take a look at these upcoming Vans Vault Authentics! Being that there’s no info on these as of yet, I am going to label them as samples, but I couldn’t resist sharing these photos with you guys. What makes this Authentic unique, is the addition of the suede panel placed around the ankle collar, which has been neatly stitched with a triangle pattern. This particular beige pair, has a purple lining, and the material seems to be somewhat of a twill material, found on khaki chino pants. They feature a smooth, stripeless foxing and toe bumper, and utilize the siped nautical sole, which is found on the more dressier Vans Vault releases. No info as of yet, but if anything arises, we will keep you posted!

Vans x Supreme – Authentic “Checkers & Corduroy (unofficial)” (Samples)

All of this Supreme news is too much to handle! Following the Chukka Boot and Old Skool Metallic Pack, we now have info on a 3rd (hopefully) upcoming release from Vans and Supreme. An Authentic, constructed primarily in checkered print canvas, with corduroy on the toe panel. Available in at least 3 colorways: Yellow, Red, and Green, in some subtle, pastel tones, which contrast nicely with the black and white checkers that Vans is known for. Each pair sits on top of a standard white sole, with black foxing stripe, and features silver metal lace eyelets for that finishing touch. What are your thoughts on these?

Vans x Supreme – Old Skool “Metallic Pack (unofficial)” (Samples)

Releasing alongside the Chukka, looks to be these Old Skools. Designed in the same color combos as the Chukka Boot, but we also see the addition of a Green/Gold colorway, and perhaps the minus of a few colorways, leaving some exclusivity between the two models. No definite info on these either, but stay tuned to our forums, and possibly here on OFFTHEWALLSITE for any new info as it becomes available. Now go out there, and get them Campbell’s Soupremes!

Vans x Supreme – Chukka “Metallic Pack (unofficial)” (Samples)

So did everyone see the news about the latest Supreme release dropping this upcoming Thursday? Yeah, sometimes that’s already old news with the internet these days, case in point, we’ve already stumbled upon some pics of another up and coming release from Supreme. Now, all the info is unofficial, but as with most Supreme leaks, they usually end up releasing some time in the future. I’ve dubbed these the “metallic pack”, due to the small accents of metallic color on each shoe. The Chukka seen here, will be available in a few colorways: Purple/Gold Metallic, Navy/Teal Metallic, Black/Silver Metallic, Maroon/Silver Metallic, and Beige/Red Metallic. The sockliner has a houndstooth pattern, and the sole is all white, for that clean and simple Spring/Summer look. Stay up to date on our forums, for any new info!
