To coincide with the recent Syndicate release, the Japanese label W)Taps have created these interesting pieces of clothing, exclusively for the Japanese market. You can see a mixture of outerwear, as well as a few bleached denim pieces, and thermal under-layer garments. Vans has once again teamed up with Japanese clothing label Beauty & Youth, to create these “leopard print” Slip-Ons. These will turn heads for sure, with their all suede material with leopard print. You can also find the Beauty & Youth branding on the inner lining. These are set to release sometime soon, but only in Japan, or where Beauty & Youth is sold.

We previewed these awhile back, and the scheduled release date is today, however like most Mastermind products, these are a Japan only release. BUT!!! There is a Rakuten store that works with shops in Japan, to allow us to have a proxy to purchase these. The down side, is that these are listed at $364.21 USD! If you’re a die-hard Mastermind fan, then by all means cop a pair, but sizes are limited. Head on over to TONNEAU and see if they have your size!

This isn’t the first collabo between Vans and So-Cal auto culture company Mooneyes. As you may recall, back in 2008 they did an entire capsule collection with Vans Vault. This time, they got together to create this awesome, toned down, Era, in an all black canvas, with custom”MOON” embroidering on the heels. These were produced to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show on December 4th in Japan, where the Mooneyes brand has been embraced by enthusiasts for decades. From my own personal observations, these are a Japanese only release. The location of release, plus the shoe box, shape of the shoe, and the heel tab, all point to them being a Japanese market pair of Vans. Sorry to break it to you everybody!

Japanese clothing label Beauty & Youth by United Arrows, has once again teamed up with Vans on another shoe creation. This time using the Authentic as their base, they chose to construct each one using a plush corduroy material. Beauty & Youth’s approach to designing Vans, is to keep the appearance subtle, but to use materials that make you wonder why you’ve never seen those at your local Vans store. Available in 3 colorways: Black, Brown, and Burgundy, which at first, look like the colors from any regular Vans Fall/Winter release. The Burgundy pair comes with a gum sole, while the other two come with a classic white sole. Available soon, but expect these to be exclusive to Japanese Beauty & Youth retailers.

Check out this upcoming Sk8-Hi from Japanese clothing brand Mastermind. Showcasing their signature skull and crossbones logo, on what looks to be a primarily black upper, with a black and white checkered lining. Not much info on these yet, but I assume they’re a Japan-only release, constructed in the Japan style Sk8-Hi. I need these!

It’s been awhile since we’ve had any Disney news on here. It’s also been awhile since we’ve had any womens news as well, so when I saw on Modern Notoriety this morning, that there was an upcoming collaboration with Vans and Disney called the “Minnie Couture” collection, I was delighted to be able to share this with you all! This pack consists of a Sk8-Hi, and a Slip-On, adorned with brown fleece all over the outside, and cream colored fleece on the inner lining. Both sit on top of off-white soles, with pink foxing stripes, and the Sk8-Hi has pink polka-dot laces. Available on 10/7/11. Oh, and did I mention this was a Japan only release? I guess I haven’t had any news on that for awhile, either!

“In an interesting collaboration Japanese brand Seventy Four teamed up with Vans on three canvas versions of the Slip-On. Rather than changing much on the classic low top sneaker, the brand used standard red, navy and black canvas versions of it, adding its logo patch on the heel and a leather tag on the tongue. They keep all three sneakers tonal on the upper, resulting in clean and classic looking styles.”
These are a Japan exclusive, and can be purchased from Grandh now.

Vans has gotten together with UK brand Harris Tweed, makers of the finest tweed clothing, and their signature styles are known all over the world. For this particular release, they chose to use the popular herringbone pattern, in 3 subtle colorways. Not much info out there just yet, but we believe these are an Asia-only exclusive, so if you want to get your Sherlock Holmes steez on, then you gotta find a friend overseas!
