Vans Surf Fall/Winter 2010 ‘Trek Fleece’ Pack

New for the Fall/Winter SURF collection, Vans has designed this really nice pack, consisting of a Sk8-Hi in black, khaki, or brown, and a 106 in blue or gray.  Both done up in smooth Wolverine suede that is scotchguarded for the elements, as well as lined with warm and cozy fleece, so you can wear these barefoot.  Both models benefits from the reversed waffle grip trek gum rubber treads, seen on a few recent Vault models, like the Buffalo Boot, or Switchback, which is useful for the outdoors.  Why didn’t Vans think of this a long time ago?  These are both currently available on the Vans webshop, and are priced respectively at $60 for the 106, and $65 for the Sk8-hi.

ASR Marketplace 2010 – VANS – Spring 2011 Footwear Preview

The ASR tradeshow in San Diego, over the past weekend, featured a preview of the new Vans line, including a new model not seen before, that looks similar to a classic model, the V-77, but with a rubber toe-piece, featured in basic shades like grey, navy, white and black.

Also spotted, is a pair of Bash Vulc’s in both, a black and white colorway.  They look to be a quick sample, because the heel tabs show “Hosoi” logos, but the shoes don’t carry any of the signature Hosoi logos, or rising sun colorways we are used to seeing.  Also take notice of the tongue tab, looking similar to the WTAPS logo, used on their Syndicate Bash release a few years back, but editing the words, to just show the Vans brand.

Last but not least, we bring you the general release version of the Zero-Lo which comes in a more mature, subtle styling of monochrome suede with suede toes, and tan footbed featuring an embossed gold logo, similar to the recent Syndicate release, designed by Luke Meier.

Vans – Anthony Van Engelen TV Commercial – Behind The Scenes

Vans recently shot a commercial with one of their skate veterans, Anthony Van Engelen, for his signature shoe, the AV6.  Shot in a grimy abandoned apartment complex, in an empty pool, this probably takes a lot of you skaters back, to when you and your homies went around searching out those local skate spots.  Nice photography here, and the graffiti ads a nice background mural to the theme.
