Vans Core – “Signature Upgrade” Pack (Spring 2011)

The four major team riders for Vans have long had their own signature models.  This year, Tony Trujillo has the TNT 5, Geoff Rowley has the Style 99, Dustin Dollin has the DD Spawn, and Anthony Van Engelen has the AV6.  For this pack, known as the “Signature Upgrade” series, the four models were constructed in premium pig suede materials, and lined with the comfortable Dri-Lex material, which helps keep the foot cool, and dry.  These are all now available on the Vans Web Store.

Vans x Sanrio x Hello Kitty – (Collection Preview)

There’s been news of this release for awhile now, but the news has officially broke on the Hello Kitty blog, that the collaboration between them and Vans is due to release in June.  Available on Vans.com, all Vans stores, Sanrio.com, and a few Sanrio boutiques, these will have grown women going crazy for the models that are releasing in their sizes.  That’s right, I said grown women!  Forget about all the little girls, because I don’t think Vans knows how crazy the HK fans really are.  This will bring out all of them, that’s for sure.

Here’s a few words from the Hello Kitty blog:

“Sanrio and Vans have teamed up to launch a footwear collaboration for Hello Kitty fans, Vans fans, and sneakerpimps of all ages! Arriving in June, the Vans x Hello Kitty collection will feature an awesome variety of styles and designs, including the Classic slip-on in checkerboard print, low-top laced Authentic in all-over prints and high-top Sk8-Hi D-Lo, in a cute custom print. RAD!

The collection will be available at Vans Retail store, the Vans online store and Vans dealers nationwide as well as select Sanrio Boutique Stores and here at Sanrio.com in June 2011. Prices will range from $25 for an infant and $37 for a child’s Classic Slip-On to $55 for the unisex Sk8-Hi D-Lo high top sneaker.”

Vans – Old Skool “Street Style”

Words by Vans website:

“Are you a lover of skate history? These Old Skools commemorate one of the most important moments in the sport’s past. In 1987 Vans innovator, Steve Van Doren, organized the very first street skating competition. That original event had competitors pulling tricks on anything from pool tables to concrete parking blocks. They are still built for serious skating with sturdy canvas uppers and waffle rubber soles. The heel tab features the original Streetstyle logo, designed by Steve himself”.

Also part of the “Street Style” pack, are a Sk8-Hi, and an Era in youth sizes, available on the Vans web store.

Vans Classic Spring 2011 “Rasta Hemp Pack”

Always a fun color combo, the Hemp Pack, is due out probably some time around April 20th, I’m guessing!  Seen here in 3 models, the Authentic, the 106 Vulcanized, and the Slip-On.  The first two, come  in “Irie Black”, and the third comes in a khaki colorway dubbed “Irie Incense”, all constructed of hemp material.  The main attraction of this pack is of course, the “Rasta” foxing stripe, last time, seen on the Vault x Bad Brains Chukka.  Each model has a different color midsole, so the foxing stripe stands out differently on each one.  Are these a must cop for you?
