A few months back, we learned of this awesome Vans x Holden collaboration, and you don’t have to wait much longer, as these have started shipping to dealers that are going to be carrying these. If you do an internet search for “Vans Holden”, you’ll find a few shops that are already preselling these, with shipments arriving early next week. Don’t sleep on a sick looking Sk8-Hi, constructed with some premium materials to boot! They’re going for $79.99 at most spots, like TightBoards.com. Only available for purchase inside the USA, but I’m sure you can find a proxy buyer on our OTWS forums, with no problem!
Check out these awesome new Sk8-Hi’s from the GR line, dubbed the “Camper Pack”. Built with premium leather and suede, these have that sort of outdoors, rugged look and feel to them. The hiking boot inspired laces also help portray that style. The brown pair sits on top of a black midsole with red foxing stripe, and the black pair sits on top of a white midsole, with blue foxing stripe. Both utilize metal eyelets for quick lace ups. These are now available from Premier for $65.

Wow. That was the first thing that I said to myself when I saw this pack. The colors, the materials, the laces…perfect. At least in my opinion they are! Even though I’m not much of a fan of the core models, these are making me want to snatch up a few, for everyday use. With a nice mashup of ballistic nylon and suede, how can you not be a fan of at least one of these?! All 3 feature the reverses “outdoor” tread. First up is the Atwood mid, with charcoal grey suede, and a black sole, with a bright red outdoor lace combo. Next, is the Owens Hi 2, in a brown suede, with olive green and white midsole, and sporting a black/blue/yellow outdoor lace getup. Third, and finally, the La Cripta Dos, is constructed in a sick olive drab ballistic nylon, and suede combo, with olive drab and black laces. These are now available on the Vans webstore.

“2012 marks the 20th Anniversary of the most popular skate shoe of all time, the Vans Half Cab. Originally released as a mid-top version of the Vans Caballero high top, the Half Cab was created in response to a new generation of skateboarders taking skate back out into the streets after the vert heyday of the 1980s. “In ’91, I noticed that a lot of street skaters were cutting my shoe halfway down and wearing them that way,” skateboarding legend Steve Caballero remembers. “So in ’92, I gave Vans the idea to make a lower cut shoe and call it the Half Cab.” The new Half Cab silhouette was introduced, an icon was born and countless shoe companies would eventually go on to release their own version of this original Vans classic that has remained in our skate line to this day.
To celebrate this milestone in footwear history, Vans is dropping an exclusive edition 20th Anniversary Half Cab each month throughout the year. Kicking off this January is a limited edition (20 pairs worldwide!) hand cut and duct taped Vans Caballero high top, each pair individually signed by Steve Caballero and available only through Supreme. We’ll follow up with monthly re-releases of four of the most iconic Half Cab’s colorways including butterscotch, white, forest green, and beige.” -Vans

Words via Vans x CULT microsite:
“Simple, clean, and raw was the end goal for this collection. Keeping with the fresh approach that CULT has taken within the BMX industry to deliver silmple and classic looking, raw finished goods with subtle features and benefits that keep them modern; we wanted to apply the same design philosophy to this collaboration.
We’ve chosen two footwear styles that include the performance features needed for riding, but also represent today’s casual styling that work well off the bike. Both shoes are wrapped in high-end black leather and use a waxed textile on accent panels for a rich look and feel. The vulcanized outsole and gum-colored WaffleGrip tread is a direct tie back to Vans heritage, while the sockliner artwork is a CULT original that ties back to the CULT attitude. Both shoes are lined with a 6oz. canvas in hunter orange from the CULT color palette and feature our Megathane midsole to keep both styles comfortable all day long, as well as prevent heel bruising while riding.”

According to Vans, the Arcata is a mid-top cousin to the Versa. Constructed with a one piece molded cupsole with a thin PU footbed that is contoured for fit and stability. The insole is flexible, and yet remains stable at the heel while the pleasure cuff is designed to eliminate achilles and heel bite. In the uppers the added layer in the wing tongue reinforces the ollie area and the recessed eyelets help to keep the laces from breaking. These are available in 3 colorways: Black/Tweed, Charcoal/White, and Burgundy/Antique. Available now from your local Vans dealer, as well as the Vans webstore.

Also part of the Max Schaaf pack, are these dope looking Era Pro’s. Constructed of what looks to be a TUF rubberized material for the entire upper, but for the first time ever, an ollie-pad has been utilized on an Era. These are definitely unique! You can expect the same 4Q conditioning branding on the removable sockliner, which I failed to mention on the Sk8-Mid Vert Pro’s, but you can see them in the gallery pics. Check ’em out if you haven’t already! If more pics surface, I will be sure to post them up! These are available now from the Utility Board Supply webstore, and for a limited time, they are throwing in a free 4Q conditioning shirt, with any purchase. Limited quantities!
