Vans Core – Era Suede (Fall/Winter 2011)

Who doesn’t like an all suede Era in their lineup, especially with nice colorways like Tawny Port, Dark Shadow, or Black?  This Winter, Vans has brought to us these 3 heavy hitters.  Constructed in a nice all-over suede material, each with matching dark gum soles, brass colored lace eyelelts, and contrasting round waxed laces.  The Vans flag matches the laces as well, for a nice finishing touch.  These are now available for around $50 at your local Vans dealer, so go grab one!

Vans Pro Classics x Ray Barbee – Old Skool 92 & Epoch 95

The last Ray Barbee collaboration was a solid hit.  It just goes to show that the classic shape is much more sought after than the newer shapes of most Vans classic models.  This time, there’s an unfamiliar model that’s come along for the ride, although it isn’t a new one by any means.  The Epoch was a model that Ray Barbee wore circa’ 95, when Vans were still made in the USA, and it’s back and looking good!  The Old Skool is back again, and is looking like an instant cop for me, with the forest green that we saw on the Ray Barbee Era’s, in their classic shape, and white contrast stitching, and accents.  Who else needs these?!

Vans Core – Zero Lo (Holiday 2011)

The Zero Lo is back for the Holiday season, in arguably, the best make up yet.  Each colorway comes decked out in a mixture of nice leathers.  For the Bark/Coffee colorway, pig suede and premium leather was used.  The Carbon/Black pair gets a mixture of suede and premium nubuck, while the Steel/Slate pair gets suede and nubuck.  These are all looking proper, and if you were looking for a new pair of Zero Lo’s, then these are the ones to get for sure.

Vans – Sk8-Hi “Loden/True White” (available now!)

Not too many general release Vans garner much attention over here at OTWS, but every now and then I see a pair that catches my eye, as well as our fellow forum members.  This Sk8-Hi “Loden” is one of the best I’ve seen in awhile.  Perhaps, I’m partial to earthtones, reminiscent of the early 2000’s, and the trends were not as loud and flashy as they are today.  If that’s your steez, then you will want these! (Hah!)  These have a nice mixture of canvas and leather, as well as some dapper waxed round laces.  The outsoles feature the reversed tread, for that “outdoorsy” side of you.  Also notice the upper two lace holes have metal eyelets…nice!  These are now available at your local Vans dealer, or online like at NiceKicks.

Vans Classic Denim Pack (Fall/Winter)

Here’s one that didn’t get much attention, but was worth mentioning.  Proper out of the LBC, recently got this cool looking “denim pack” in, which consists of two Era’s, and two Half Cabs, mocked up in two shades of denim for each shoe.  One being a two-tone black denim, and the other, a blue or indigo two-tone colorway.  Some red accents can be found on both pairs, but more so on the black versions.  What do you think?

Vans x Max Schaaf – Era Pro (sample/reissue?)

One of my old friends I used to know from back in the old Honda days, bbbfalcs, recently joined our forums, but has been into sneaker collecting for awhile, and he showed us a pic of the pair of Max Schaaf Era Pro’s that he received from a friend, featuring the rubberized ollie pad that everyone else missed out on.  Before this pic, we’ve only seen catalog pics of what it looked like, and we are all jealous.  This shoe would’ve sold way more pairs, if this 10 cent piece of rubber was just attached to the final production model.  Guaranteed!

Vans – Escuela “Italian Leather” (Fall 2011)

The other day, we previewed the new Escuela model, from Vans, and today, we’ve discovered that there’s going to be an “Italian Leather” model as well, to join with the currently available, Authentic and Chukka Low.  This is a nice premium, soft leather that is used, and it gives a nice overall luxurious look to the sneaker.  Is this enough to get you to cop a pair?!

Vans – Escuela (Fall 2011)

Not new to the hybrid shoe game, Vans has created this great looking low top model, called the Escuela.  Right off the bat, you notice the Sk8-Hi influence that takes over most of the design of the shoe, but you can’t let the Old Skool-inspired “wave stripe”, or low profile tongue go unnoticed, which is probably where the name “Escuela” came from.  They will initially be offered in some standard fall colors: burgundy, navy, and black, in all suede construction,  but who knows what the future holds for this new model from Vans!

Hit up Brant at Silo if you need the Supertuff Half Cab Pros, or the standard Chukka Low colorways!

Vans Core – Pacquard (Holiday 2011)

We’re showing you something new from the Vans Core team.  This model is called the Pacquard, a slim-profiled shoe, that looks like it got it’s good looks from a Chukka Low, a Zero Lo, and if I didn’t know any better, I’d assume it was from the OTW line!  The leather collar, and square laces give it that maturity that your average skate shoe is missing, so if you want to grow up, and not be a Toys ‘R’ Us kid anymore, then grab a pair of these!  Due out soon, as part of the Holiday season.
