Sorry to be so late to the party, but it appears that Vans has been cooking up their famous Waffle iPhone case, this time for the iPhone5. I’ve always wondered why they didn’t make them when the first iPhone5 cases came out, but that was because they wanted to do it right the second time around, enlisting Belkin, one of the few high quality electronics accessory brands in the industry. Notice that the material looks more firm, so your phone won’t fall face-first out of the case anymore! This case will be available in 5 colorways, which should be available soon. There’s also a few other Vans cases that Belkin has out already, which feature some classic Vans prints on them. Pics are available after the jump. Stay tuned, as we will keep you posted for sure!

The latest Vans Syndicate release is starting to hit retailers, and it’s shaping up to be a great release. Wade Speyer has a loyal following, evident when we started posting up previews of this pack on our Instagram feed and getting a pretty positive response. Syndicate stays true to the core skate community, whether it’s from the new skool or the old skool, and by honoring Wade with his very own release, it just helps solidify and acknowledge his role in skateboarding history. With the Vans Vault x WTAPS collection dropping tomorrow, I thought it would be nice to give a little insight on what this collaboration means, and what you should expect from the WTAPS brand, by way of Solecollector’s Brennan Williams‘ excellent interview with Vans Vault Head of Design – Jon Warren, and Senior Design Manager for Vans Syndicate – Rian Pozzebon. The interview discusses how they first linked up with Tet, founder of WTAPS, and how their long-standing relationship, first through Syndicate, and now through Vault, has forged along, creating hit after hit. The work ethic that Tet puts into his creations are unmatched, and his strive to learn the product and back story beforehand is unreal, and his slogan “Craft With Pride” comes from this ideal. After this read you’ll probably want to go out tomorrow and buy yourself a pair or two from this awesome release, so sorry if I ruined your plans of saving a little money! Big thanks to Brennan for giving me the heads up on this interview he did. Excellent job sir!

UK clothing store OFFICE, teamed up with Vans on this ridiculously cool Vans Authentic, featuring an all-over photo print of some french fries. Looking at these things makes my mouth water! I wish they were still available, but they’re long gone now. Oh well!

With all of the recent photos of the Vans Vault 10 Year Anniversary celebration at The Park in NYC last week, I thought some of you would like to know that a similar installation was built at the Blends Costa Mesa location, showcasing some awesome Vault sneakers from over the years, including The Simpsons x Vault collaboration, skateboard decks and all! If you have the chance, head on down to the OC and stop in to Blends, and take a step back into time…well a small step at least! Tell them Guamstyles sent you, and for those of you not living in the SoCal area, I’ve posted up quite a bit of photos that I took personally of this installation. It’s something to be admired!

Vans Vault has teamed up with Japanese label W)Taps (pronounced DOUBLE-TAPS!) to create this awesome American Military-inspired collection. Each model has been covered in a nice suede and/or canvas material, in colors that invoke American patriotism. Lots of reds, whites, blues, as well as blacks, tans, and olive greens. They chose to go with the OG Sk8-Hi, Slip-On, and Chukka, in their original shapes from the early days of Vans, and that’s why you see the “Vans ORIGINALS” heel tab. These should be hitting your local Vault dealer soon, after the 10 Year Anniversary festivities come to an end this week. Be on the look out, and join our forum to keep up to speed.
