“Vans Syndicate proudly presents the one and only true O.G. godfather of West Coast gangster rap, former Crenshaw gangster pimp turned social commentator, Grammy Award winning mid-eighties founder of early hip-hop collective Rhyme Syndicate, the ever controversial and never complacent, acclaimed actor and respected metal head, Tracy Marrow, otherwise known as Ice-T. Ice put his stamp on this Syndicate project with an O.G. theme in two directions as Ice-T described them: “One’s more gangster. One’s more pimp.”

The “more gangster” model is Ice’s Sk8-Hi OG “S” in traditional black suede and white canvas with Slauson Swap Meet -style embroidered fixings (Body Count, OG, Rhyme Syndicate and Ice-T). Pigskin linings and sockliners stamped with Ice’s lyrics in gold foil throughout.

For Ice’s “more pimp” model, he chose a Chukka Decon “S”, featuring an added heel pull with “OG” embroidery on an otherwise deconstructed upper with elegantly perforated quarter panels, the Chukka Decon “S” is composed of high quality nubuck and tonal labeling and also featuring pigskin linings and sockliners stamped with Ice’s lyrics in gold foil throughout.

Vans x Kenzo – Capsule Collection (Fall 2013)

The latest Kenzo collaboration has just released, featuring three different patterns, one of them being the flying tigers that we’ve shown previously. Kenzo is known for their distinctive patterns, and their limited availability, so these should be pretty desirable. Two patterns that you may not have seen yet, are their “clouds” design printed on a Chukka and a Slip-On, and a “lightning” design on two Authentics. If you are feeling any of these releases, they are available from Kenzo as of yesterday.

Vans Vault x Taka Hayashi – TH Half Cab LX “Batik” Pack (Fall 2013)

Taka’s back! We’ve just previewed some of the upcoming Vault releases, but now we get an official detailed look at Taka Hayashi’s Half Cab coming out this Fall. Given the name TH Half Cab LX, you know it’s going to have some Taka customizations. Right away, you notice the Batik-inspired print on the canvas portions of the shoe. After that, your eyes probably migrate down to the lower portion of the shoe, where you’ll find some fossil artwork wrapping the entire vulcanized sole. If you take a closer look at the rest of the shoe, you’ll find some detailed stitching, perforated patterns, and embroidering. They’re finished off nicely with Taka’s version of the Half Cab logo, which we’ve seen on his prior models. They will be available in two colorways, Black, or Classic Blue, this September.

This isn’t the first time we’ve caught wind of the Supreme x Bruce Lee pack, but this is the first time we’ve seen the Authentics. Each pair features a photographic print of Bruce Lee, in one of 3 different tints, black/white, black/blue, and black/yellow. Available in a Sk8-Hi or Authentic, these should be releasing soon, as the Bruce Lee deck has been spotted in the recent Supreme Fall/Winter preview. Stay tuned!

The Sk8-Hi sees a new deep red version, while the Slip-On is treated to rich brown leathers. Two hiking boots are also on offer. As before, this collection is entirely made in Italy at Diemme’s factories which makes for a very pricey, but gorgeous set of shoes.
