“Vans and Liberty Art Fabrics have collaborated to bring us five classic Vans silhouettes done in material prints from Liberty’s fabric archive. Set to release in October, we have here the Era model in the paisley-and-floral Bay Laurel pattern and the Old Skool silhouette featuring the Belmont Ivy pattern, both in unisex sizes. Other available silhouettes that are not pictured include the Sk8-Hi, along with the Authentic and the Classic Slip-On in women’s sizings. The Holiday Collection will be sold at select retailers worldwide, online, and at the Liberty of London flagship store.”

Vans Vault – “Huichol” Sk8-Hi & Slip-On (Video & Pics!)

“Vans‘ premium Vault label have enlisted the help of craftsmen from Mexico’s Huichol tribe to create a set of highly limited, handcrafted renditions of the label’s classic Slip-On and Sk8-Hi sneakers, showcasing the native people’s skills in elaborate embroidery and beading techniques. The set of painstakingly hand-embroidered sneakers took over 10 months to complete, and come embellished with beads, ankle pendants and yarn-painted uppers, with stunning results.

The set of vibrant, richly colorful sneakers are limited to only 360 pairs worldwide and are set to drop September 20 at select boutique accounts including the Vans DQM General New York and Boston locations, Blends, Bodega, Conveyor, Darkside Initiative, Opening Ceremony, Proper and St. Alfred. Confirmed international locations include: OTH in Canada, Firmament in Berlin, as well as Sneakersnstuff in Sweden.”

This is the sort of releases that us collectors love, and are always surprised by. I can’t believe we didn’t know about it much sooner, but then again isn’t that a good thing?! It keeps it fun, and interesting to say the least. Now, to hunt down the Sk8-Hi!

“The Vans Native American was originally introduced in the late 80’s, with its durable rubber toe cap and small ollie patch the sneaker was Vans’ answer to the rise of street style skateboarding.

Supreme will be releasing a new version of the Vans Native American featuring a premium suede upper with leather lining and in-soles. The Native American will be offered in four colorways made exclusively for Supreme.”

“Vans’ Syndicate project teams up with veteran skate retailer Kasina for a limited take on the Authentic and Old Skool. Home to collaborations with Odd Future, Ice T and Carhartt WIP among others, the Syndicate project makes product exclusively for select independent skate retailers, and this collaboration with Kasina marks a first Korean project for the brand. A chain pattern is featured alongside the store’s trademark Coral color, with both pairs coming with an accompanying chain-patterned shoe bag.

Vans x Fitted x Blue Hawaii Surf – WaiʻAleʻAle Era Pro (Summer 2014)

“Back in Spring of this year we introduced the Waiʻaleʻale pattern, based off Mt. Waiʻaleʻale on the island of Kauaʻi, one of the wettest spots on earth. The idea that water surrounds us here in Hawaiʻi—from the waterfalls up in the mountains, to the inland rivers and streams, and down to the beaches all around us—gave way to the concept behind the design, and ultimately became the perfect catalyst for the collaboration between two local Hawaiʻi-grown companies and an activewear company with heavy ties to the surfing world.

This Saturday we continue with our Waiʻaleʻale Collection, teaming up with Blue Hawaii Surf and Vans to present one of the cornerstones of the entire capsule: the Waiʻaleʻale Era Pro. Featuring special materials not normally seen on shoes, we’re incredibly proud of this project and equally as excited to finally release it to the public.

Starting with the upper, this Era Pro features contrasted white stitching on fully sublimated nylon rip-stop, showcasing our Waiʻaleʻale pattern. The clear eyelets represent the crystal clear waters in Hawaiʻi, tying back to the Waiʻaleʻale concept. The Duracap Vulcanized midsole is all white, with the tonal Vans heel tag adding to the clean look. We hit the entire outsole with a bright orange color to add contrast to the colors up top. Moving to the inside of the shoe, we used a full spacer mesh lining for added comfort and breathability.

The FITTED + Blue Hawaii Surf + Vans Waiʻaleʻale Era Pro comes with three lace options (black, white, and our 116 yellow) and will be released this Saturday exclusively at FITTED (in-store and online) and at Blue Hawaii Surf.”

Today is the day.
Drinks to get into the right mood. Maybe in front of our store in Berlin-Mitte. Then dinner at a nearby restaurant or a Döner. More beers. Then entering a bar. Maybe some cocktails, or shots. For sure some more beers. Then club. Buddies. Shots. Beers. Music. Ladies. Longdrinks. Beers. Schnaps. Dancing. Beers. Talking. Shots. Blackout. No more money in the wallet. However. Taxi ride home.
