Vans x Alltimers – Old Skool Sport Pro (6.24.17)

http _hypebeast.com_image_2017_06_Vans-x-AllTimers-01

Words via Vans:

This summer, two influential brands in skateboarding, Vans and Alltimers, come together to debut the latest evolution of the Old Skool, to introduce the all-new Old Skool Sport Pro. The highly-anticipated Vans Pro Skate collaboration honors Vans and Alltimers’ light-hearted and irreverent brand personas, taking the skateboarding staple into the VIP Lounge with an all mesh execution, accented with cotton webbing and reflective binding.

Immortalized in skateboarding culture as a truly unconventional and not-so-serious luxury skate brand, Alltimers launched in 2013 with a collection of uniquely-shaped skateboards, premium apparel and accessories. Inspired by pop culture iconography, Alltimers’ design philosophy mixes high and low, achieving their own signature look and feel, amplified by their eccentric and often humorous marketing approach.

For their Vans capsule, Alltimers created an out of this world narrative, where aliens have taken over the planet. With the survival of mankind in their hands, Alltimers present a space-age Vans Old Skool Sport Pro design, with direct influence taken from aliens with giant lasers attacking the masses.
Available at select Vans Pro Skate retailers worldwide and Alltimers on Saturday, June 24, the new Vans Old Skool Sport Pro capsule by Alltimers features:

Full mesh uppers
Full mesh linings
Lateral Duracap underlays for durability
Custom ghillie lacing system sandwiched between the mesh
Custom Webbing Tongue and heel pulls
Reflective binding detail
Vans Ultracush HD footbeds w/ custom artwork

Vans x Supreme – 666 Slip-On Pro (6.15.17)

Sup666Slip1

This is kind of a weird one.  We’ve seen pairs of this Supreme Slip-On with the 666 graphic pop up on eBay a few times over the past few months, but no official info has been released by Supreme, at least not in the traditional sense, until today via their Instagram account.  This confirms that the release is official, and set to drop tomorrow in 3 colorways, Black, Checkerboard, and Blue, featuring the 666 “STP” graphic that has been seen on a myriad of Supreme product this season.  Are you in, or out with these?

Vans x Fear of God – Style 147 @jerrylorenzo

RedSlipStrap1

Jerry Lorenzo gives us a teaser of another one of his upcoming Vans shoes for his Fear of God label.  While sitting courtside at the NBA Finals, he blessed us with a preview of what looks to be the rarely seen Style 147 from the vintage archives, a modified Slip-On, with a custom panel that incorporates a lateral strap with a brass metal F.O.G.  emblem across the top of the foot.  The shape of the toe, indicates that these are either a Vault OG, or some similar silhouette that us Vans snobs can usually point out the difference with.  Not much more to add to this post at this time, other than a few other pics of the Mountain Edition that is also slated to drop around the same time.  We’ll keep you all up to date as new pics surface!

Vans x Trap Skateboards – “Save The Wilhelmsburg Banks” Half Cab Pro (6.1.17)

Trap_x_Vans_HalfCab_by_kane-1

For the 25th anniversary of the Half Cab, Vans has partnered up with Trap Skateboards to create a unique shoe to help save the Wilhelmsburg Banks skatepark.  The shoe features design influenced by the famous mosaic tiled quarter pipe wall at Wilhelmsburg Banks, contrasting against deep burnt sienna suede.  The shoe features all the usual Pro features we’re accustomed to.

Strictly Waffles mentions the significance of this release:

“Wilhelmsburg Banks is one of the most famous skate spots in all of Germany. The beautiful terracotta tiling and Hamburg setting makes for one of the more memorable skate sessions you can have in Europe. Unfortunately, the park is in danger of being closed and demolished forever. There is a movement to stop this from happening. If you would like more info on how to get involved, head over to Save Wilhelmsburg Banks on Instagram.”

The Trap Skateboards x Save the Wilhelmsburg Banks Half Cab Pro releases today in Los Angeles, at Supreme, and will release in Europe on Saturday June 10th.  The shoe is limited to 200 pairs globally, so don’t sleep if you want these!

Vans x Charles M. Schulz – Peanuts Gang Capsule Collection (6.2.17) #peanuts #vansxpeanuts

FA17_Classics_Peanuts_Collection_Elevated

With a partnership dating back to the early 1980’s, Vans brings forth the third installment of Vans x Peanuts designs, highlighting characters from Charles M. Schulz’s beloved Peanuts gang. Using vintage illustrations from the late ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s, Vans designers bring “Off The Wall” elements to iconic Peanuts moments that remain true to Vans’ unique design aesthetic. The Vans x Peanuts collection of footwear, apparel and accessories launches worldwide June 2.

The Vans x Peanuts collection features six core designs across a variety of silhouettes within the Vans Classics, Surf and Apparel collections. Peanuts protagonist, Charlie Brown, kicks off the collection quite literally as he is seen on a men’s pocket tee and raglan pushing his way on skateboard in pair of Old Skools. Cop his steez with a pair of Old Skools outfitted in yellow canvas and black suede, showcasing a chevron Sidestripe and “Good Grief” embroidered atop the tongue of each shoe.

Not to be outdone, Snoopy, his alter ego Joe Cool and his pal Woodstock are featured throughout the men’s and women’s apparel offering. Joe Cool is highlighted in an allover character print on a men’s white button down and hangs out on a Vans’ flying “V” logo on the back of the Torrey coach’s jacket. Within the women’s selection, Joe Cool is featured on a black and white striped backpack, polo dress and crew sweatshirt. The monotone assortment matches down to the sole with a black and white Sk8-Hi and Slide-On Sandal that shows the profiles of a shade-clad Woodstock and Joe Cool.

The loveable Snoopy can be found skateboarding holding his checkerboard water bowl across the Authentic and Old Skool II backpack, sleeping on a Sidestripe of dog bones on the SK8-Hi Reissue, and hiding in a red fringe dog house on the Sk8-Hi Moc. His playful nature is perfectly showcased on the Classic Slip-On as he tries to steal a kiss from Lucy on the vamp and puts the lip smack on Charlie Brown on the heel counter.

For a limited time, Vans Customs will offer two exclusive Vans x Peanuts prints that will allow you to create your very own Vans x Peanuts design. The two exclusive prints include an all-over collage of the entire Peanuts Gang atop a white canvas backdrop and a Checkerboard Snoopy and Woodstock print. For the first time ever, you are able to mix and match both of the Vans x Peanuts custom prints together alongside a range of colors, materials and patterns on the Vans Customs website. To create your very own Vans x Peanuts Customs please visit vans.com/customs beginning June 2!

Peanuts fans will be able to choose from countless renditions of the limited Vans x Peanuts designs across men’s and women’s footwear, apparel and accessories, while tiny tykes will get a downsized assortment of the Classic footwear options. The Vans x Peanuts Collection is available to shop in stores and online at vans.com/peanuts globally starting June 2!

Vans Vault x Bodega – “Return of the Dragon” Caballero LX & Half Cab LX (6.3.17) @bdgastore #bodega

Vans and Bodega enter the dragon, so to speak, with a new collaborative release that combines the extraordinary feats of the dragon with the pay it forward spirit of the hóngbāo.  This is the first time that the Caballero signature model (aka the Full Cab) has been used in a collaboration with Vans Vault, and you can always expect Bodega to bring something original to the table.  The Vans Vault x Bodega Full Cab LX & Half-Cab LX, the signature shoes of the legendary Steve Caballero, are decked out in reptilian scales inspired by skateboarding’s very own flying dragon.  They also decided to include a few panels of pony hair to put the pack really over the top.  Chinese restaurant themed apparel, complete with take-out containers adds Bodega’s neighborhood spirit into the mix.  The hóngbāo included with every pair of shoes contain best wishes for everyone, but a few lucky recipients will get an extra windfall of good fortune.  All in all, the design for the pack is wild, and the earth-tones suit the overall aesthetic perfectly.  Great job Bodega, as usual!

The Bodega x Vans Vault ‘Return of the Dragon’ Pack releases on Saturday, June 3rd – available exclusively through Bodega at 11am EST both in-store and online. Retail is set at $155 for the Full Cab and $120 for the Half-Cab.
