Words via Vans:

“Building on the momentum from the first collaboration with LQQK Studio in 2018, Vault by Vans is once again partnering with the Brooklyn-based screenprinting and design collective that has deep roots in art, fashion, skateboarding, and music.

This Holiday 2020 season, Vault by Vans x LQQK Studio release a six-shoe capsule, all of which feature the Circle V theme that resonated with fans so strongly in 2018. The collection is led by the OG Style 17 Mule LX in honeycomb and the OG Chukka LX in burgundy, both of which give a nod to the workwear resurgence in both color and materials. The OG Style 17 Mule LX and OG Chukka LX also come in splatter ink executions, as well as a natural colorway.

The Vault by Vans x LQQK Studio collaboration will also include three pieces of apparel: a quarter-zip sweater, sweatpants, and a long sleeve shirt with an oversized, gradient Vans logo. The quarter-zip and sweatpants are available in black and ash heather, while the long sleeve shirt is available in black and bright orange”.

The OG Chukka Boot LX has an MSRP of $150, while the OG Style 17 Mule LX’s is $140.  The apparel ranges from $60 – $110.  These have already dropped on LQQK’s webstore, but should be arriving to your local Vault dealer soon.

Vault By Vans x Better – Style 36 LX & Half Cab LX (11.28.20)

S3A9515

Vault by Vans and Toronto-based brand and retailer, BetterTM Gift Shop, introduce a never-before-seen colorway on two classic Vans silhouettes. Releasing on November 28, the two brands rework the classic Style 36 LX and Half Cab LX, retailing at $160 CAD and $180 CAD respectively.

BetterTM Gift Shop updates both styles through the use of its trademark blue colorways alongside a marshmallow treatment on long hair suede uppers. Each sneaker comes with both marshmallow and reflective lace options. Subtle BetterTM Gift Shop branding on the lace tips ensure the minimal design remains uninterrupted. Each pair ships in a custom box bearing an illustration of the brand’s iconic Toronto Flagship storefront.

“Blue suede shoes are a classic. Selfishly, we’ve always wanted our own version,” said BetterTM Gift Shop’s Co-Founder and Designer, Kevin Li. “Vans gave us that opportunity.”

The shoes will be available to purchase exclusively at BetterTM Gift Shop’s Toronto flagship location in conjunction with the newly renovated shop, as well as online at bettergiftshop.com on November 28, 2020.

Vault By Vans x Taka Hayashi – DIY “Military Black Pack” (Nov. 2020)

https-_hypebeast.com_image_2020_11_vans-taka-hayashi-diy-sk8-hi-slip-on-old-skool-release-001

Words via Hypebeast:

“Vans and Taka Hayashi have returned for another “DIY” pack consisting of Sk8-Hi and Old Skool silhouettes that come with kits of various velcro patches. Following their previous project — DIY kits with bright summer-tinged colors — the two labels have switched things up with bold military-inspired designs.

Covered with sleek black velcro all around, the silhouette comes with contrasting top-stitching that gives the wearer a sense of where to stick on various panels. From olive suede toebox panels to tiger camo tongues to cheetah-patterned side stripes, a variety of panels are offered. The Sk8-Hi comes with a handful of bold camo prints set in subdued earth tones, while the Old Skool features a more concise selection of add-ons. One highlight of the Old Skool’s “DIY” kit is the set of eyelet and forefoot panels — the shoe can either bear the mold of a traditional Old Skool with laces or resemble a Slip-On when replacing the eyelets for the forefoot panel. Other pieces like embroidered patch logos and heel counter swatches round off the highly customizable pack.”

Vans Skate x Quartersnacks – Old Skool Pro & Lampin Pro (Available Now!) via @silostore

vans_qsnacks-box

Vans Skate teams up with Quartersnacks to create this awesome collaboration.  Choosing to go with the time-tested Old Skool Pro, as well as the not as often seen, Lampin Pro.  Both pairs feature a premium tumbled leather, one in White, and the other in Blue.  The same tennis ball yellow terrycloth lining can be found on both shoes, as well as a debossed “25” logo on the rears of each shoe.  The standout feature has to be the extra-wide multi-colored woven laces, which is a nice alternative for those looking for a little more pop.  We’re also hyped to see that these came with a cool accessory, like tons of cool Vans used to have back in the day, which is one of those small rubber coin clasp pouches you used to see at the local water park as a kid.  Quartersnacks included it, in case you were trying to start a savings account, lol.  I gotta say, it’s always nice to see something new and unique come out every once in awhile, and these are definitely all that.

Look for these at select Vans skate dealers, like our friends at Silo.  Both pairs MSRP for $75.

Vault By Vans x UBIQ – “The Perfect V” Pack (11.5.20) @ubiqlife

UbiqOldSkoolTShirt1

UBIQ has been a long-time Vans Vault retailer, and have released some of the most “ubiquitous” collaborations throughout the years, like the 3 Tides Tattoo Pack, and the Camo Deer set, designed by Ron English.  Well, their time has come to an end, and they will be shutting their doors shortly, but they’re going out in style with their last collaboration, one with our beloved Vans Vault.  Their last project reimagines the perfect T – on a shoe, and is dubbed “The Perfect V”.  A pack of 3 Vans Vault styles to use as your blank canvas – to draw on, dye, and customize to make your own.

Available in 3 of the most iconic Vans silhouettes, the Old Skool VLT LX, Slip-On VLT LX, and Sk8-Hi Reissue VLT LX.  The Old Skool uses fabric from the perfect black cotton tee, with an airbrush technique for the signature Jazz stripe.  The slip-on uses fabric from the perfect white cotton tee, printed with a puff screenprint classic checkerboard pattern.  The 3rd and final shoe, the Sk8 Hi, uses a heather grey french terry fabric from the perfect fleece, and chenille patching for the Jazz stripe.  Each pair is finished with a UBIQ x Perfect V care label on the collar of the shoe.

Each shoe comes with memorabilia signifying UBIQ’s brand history – including pins and patches that nod to their Philly pride.

Available in stores tomorrow, November 5th, 2020 at 11 AM EDT. Limited to 100 pairs per style.

Vault By Vans x Patta – “Rude Boy” Collection (10.31.20)

201027_PattaVans6_header

Info via Patta

Patta will release new versions of the Vans Chukka 79 VLT LX and the Style 36 VLT LX this Saturday. This latest collaboration represents the strong British-Jamaican influences on rude boy culture.

The colours of the Chukka 79 VLT LX are a riff on the colours of the Rastafari flag, with the Style 36 TC VLT LX coming in a Spectrum Blue colour way that nods to the Union Jack. The phrase “OUT IN THE STREETS” that sits on the outsole, serves as an homage to reggae artist Ini Kamoze, while also alluding to manning the barricades, protest and counterculture.

Both silhouettes are executed in ballistic nylon, with premium suede details, white contrast stitching and black leather lining. High-density printed Patta branding adorns the heel, while multiple lace tags allow for customisation by the wearer.

The Patta x Vans Chukka 79 VLT LX and Style 36 VLT LX will be available in EU sizes 34.5 up to 47, exclusively at PATTA locations and online from patta.nl at 13:00 CET on Saturday, October 31st.

Vans x C2H4 – “Enlighten Enlightenment” Pack (Shanghai Exclusive!)

https-_hypebeast.com_image_2020_10_vans-c2h4-enlighten-collaboration-collection-release-info-002

Words via Hypebeast:

“Vans has teamed up with C2H4 for a new project titled “Enlighten Enlightenment” at Vans Vault’s store in Shanghai. The collaboration features a large bronze-toned installation, with cyberpunk-style designs, featuring bold iterations of a Style 36 and Old Skool.

The Old Skool comes with heavily distressed black uppers, detailed with frayed collars and sidewalls. Crisp white laces pop out against the shoe’s suede panels at the eyelets and heel, while a large “C2H4” engraved metal plate is stamped at the heel counter. Finishing off the shoe is a white midsole that’s been weathered with scuff marks to complete the cyberpunk-inspired design. In contrast, the Style 36 features a cleaner design. It comes with smooth leather panels — one covering the eyelet panels and another at the heel, while a large white sidestripe is woven along the body. As a final note, the shoe boasts a glossy black midsole that complements silver-toned buttons appearing over the uppers.

The Vans x C2H4 “50/50 Enlighten” capsule will be available from now until the end of November at Vans Vault Shanghai — prices have yet to be confirmed.”

Vault By Vans x Notre – OG Old Skool LX (10.31.20)

Full-Set

The Chicago-based retailer Notre revamps their inaugural collaboration with Vault by Vans, introducing new colors.

Vault by Vans and Chicago’s Notre are pleased to present their second collaboration, once again selecting premium materials and applying them to the beloved OG Old-Skool LX silhouette.

Notre first put their spin on this iconic model in late 2018, layering their signature handshake motif over hairy green suede. Now, they’ve refined the style further, and brought it back in four new, tonal colorways referencing classic Vans models: off-white, black, blue, and red. Each pair ships in a custom box bearing Notre’s motto: “There are many ways of doing things besides your own.”

“That motto comes from The Whole Earth Catalog, and it’s inspired a lot of what we’ve done as a shop over the past few years, and what we try to stand for: teamwork, learning from one another, staying open-minded,” said Notre co-founder and co-owner MJ Jaworowski. “This year has been tough for everyone, obviously, so we felt this would be a good moment to re-introduce our Vans shoe concept, which itself promotes a message of togetherness.”

Vault by Vans x Notre OG Old-Skool LX ($90) is designed to be subtle and versatile, ideal for daily wear and made from materials that age with character. This release is rounded out with a two-piece capsule collection designed and produced by Notre, including the “Linking Hands” hoodie ($98) in Black and Heather Grey, and the “Many Ways” short-sleeved t-shirt ($36) in Black and Off-White.

The Vault by Vans x Notre OG Old-Skool LX and private label capsule will be available exclusively through Notre’s online store on October 31.
