This Fall, Japanese label Beauty & Youth, will collaborate with Vans on this pack that consists of an Authentic model wrapped in velvet. Available in four colors, burgundy, gray, blue, or black. More info should be available in the near future, but until then this is all we have to go off of. Enjoy!

Vans worked with Canadian boutique Livestock for a series of photo tees. Entitled “Painted,” the photographs by Kenta Goto represent a series of textures familiar to anyone who’s ever picked up a skateboard.
“The world looks quite differently through a skateboarder’s eyes. A set of stairs are not just for walking up and down, ledges and planters aren’t just architectural containers and displays for greenery, railings are not just for holding on to….. This series of photographs takes the idea of how skateboarders see and use urban structures and “paint” the city with their skateboards. Skaters mark up and wear out these structures and continue to reshape and add colour to our cities.”

“After the first collaboration in 2008 – the Carhartt X Vans Chukka & Half Cab – Carhartt and Vans strike again and present the Carhartt xVans Authentic in an extremely limited edition.
The concept behind the Carhartt x Vans collaboration is to combine the brands’ best elements to develop an unique new image. The most recent outcome of this is the Carhartt x Vans Authentic in a special limited edition, a shoe that perfectly conveys the ageless style of both veterans in the streetwear and skateboard business.
The Authentic (the first pair of skate lace-ups ever made) combines a relaxed look with the original skateboarding spirit of the 60s and remains true to Vans’ classic design, which has not been altered since it was conceived in 1966. ‘Less is more’ was the catchphrase right from the start. The Carhartt x Vans Authentic carries all the classic features of this shoe, such as Vans’ signature waffle soles as well as the durable doublestitched seams and lightweight cushioning. As a tribute to Carhartt’s trademark colour, it features a bright orange sole. Additionally, Carhartt’s designers brought their quality standards as well as their extensive experience for innovative designs to the drawing board. The result is a cool variation of the classic Authentic shoe in the legendary and extremely hard-wearing Carhartt ripstop fabric combined with classy suede leather. The Ripstop fabric is a woven, lightweight material that resists tearing and ripping with an easy to identify interlocking pattern. The Carhartt x Vans Authentic will be available in three original Carhartt colors – Black, Cypress and Wall – only at Carhartt and Vans Stores Europe-wide in early November.”

Sometimes press photos don’t exactly give the best shots that people are looking for, and I’ve decided to take some personal photos of this pack, to hopefully do it some justice. As much of a cliche it is, these look super dope in person. The fit is similar to most standard Eras that come with the thinner insole. These are very comfortable, and flex quite easily due to the soft nylon side panel, and extra soft suede used on the toe. Also the collar lining has soft premium leather found on a lot of Vault Eras. These have no need to be broken in, trust me. There are tons of details not mentioned before, like the UNDEFEATED branding on the back side of the tongue tag, and the lace tips, as well as the 5 Strikes logo on the back side of the side tag. These are also stuffed into color-matching nylon dust bags, with slide boxes similar to the Vans Syndicate line, and some Vaults. Most details are minor, but should definitely change anybody’s mind about these being too plain, and they are a great shoe to add to your lineup. Just released from the Undefeated website, is the look book for the upcoming Era Hernán Pack, which is set to release on the 18th. These will also be available in kids, and toddlers sizes, for those of you who like to play dress up with your children, or like to spoil your nieces and nephews. What do you guys think of these?

It’s been a minute since Vans has collaborated with SoCal based sneaker mecca Undefeated. The last collaboration project with Vans, included 5 Sk8-hi models, adorned with their “U-Man” mascot, done up in popular NBA team colors. Well, a teaser pic has surfaced, of their new project with Vans, this time choosing the Era LX, a timeless classic. From the makes of the picture, they have decided to go the tonal route, and match up the sole, with the base color, with a white foxing stripe shared across each colorway. Check out that heel tab, with the Undefeated logo. I’m excited for this release, anybody else?
