The final production versions of the Gorilla Biscuit Sk8-Hi and Slip-Ons have shown up, and some slight changes have been made since the first pics surfaced back in July, most notably in the shades of the colors. The original post showed actual pics of the release, but these newer pics look to be touched up, or photoshopped for some reason. I guess you’ll just have to judge these ones in person.

The Vans Vault x Brooks England release has started showing up at random shops, starting earlier this month. The Era shoe, and the saddle are sold separately. The first SoCal local shops to receive these were Blends. In NorCal, it was Bows & Arrows. On the East coast, Bodega released theirs this past weekend. In the UK, End Clothing received theirs about 2 weeks ago, but have since sold out. This coming weekend, HUF Hayes and L.A. will be releasing them in-store only. Understandable, with the limited production run of 1000, each being individually numbered, however most shops are willing to help out those in search of them, over the phone. I will post up any new info here, so check back every now and then. By the way, the shoes MSRP is $100, and the saddle that is also available is $200. Not bad for a limited run, NUMBERED, Vault release.
A few more pics have surfaced of the upcoming Vans x Tron: Legacy Sk8-Hi that they have made for the movie. First previews of this shoe mentioned that these were a Japan-only exclusive, but some OTWS members mentioned that they used the standard Sk8-Hi shape, and not the “Co.JP” version for this shoe, so hopefully it is a general release for all of you Tron fans out there.

This is the second collaboration with Zumies, for Vans, and they once again chose the Chukka Low, but this time going with all black leather, with round leather laces and pewter eyelets, sitting on top of a white midsole, with black foxing stripe. These are now available exclusively at Zumies for $54.95.

If you’ve been waiting for the Vans x Deluxe Chukka Boot to drop, then they are now available at Haven in Canada. They’re also available on their online shop here for a pretty penny!
At the end of last week, Vault dealers started receiving their shipments of the Vault x Pendleton x Taka Hayashi collection, and it wasn’t surprising to see these things fly off the shelves, and leave quite a bit of people unhappy, or with empty pockets after purchasing off of resellers. When the hype monster is in full effect, the resellers come out and play. I had to do a little bit of hunting, and frantic phone dialing, but I managed to pick up an 11 from Proper, for retail, plus shipping, and after hearing a few people on the forums say that these fit TTS (true-to-size), I knew I would need a bigger size. Luckily, yesterday, I called up Conveyor in Santa Monica, and they had a 12 left! I paid slightly over retail, but you all know it’s worth it, when it’s a size you can wear! I was shaking my head, because just the day before, I was visiting the TheHundreds x Garfield pop-up shop in Santa Monica, right next door to Conveyor, and I contemplated walking in there, but decided not to. Always go with your instincts! Anyways, both pairs came today, and all I can say is, pay what you can afford for these things. The rumor out there, is that there’s somewhere around 300 pairs of the TH-Hi’s (Sk8-hi’s), but of course, nothing’s confirmed. Put it this way, even friends of ours who work for Vans, were out tracking down their pairs as well. The blanket print from Pendleton, that Vans chose for this release, was a rarer print, that there wasn’t much material to go around, so that may have something to do with the scarcity of these. The leather Taka chose for this shoe, is top-notch, and very soft. The inside is also lined with black leather, as well as the removable footbed. I also took pics of the shoe laced up in the optional off-white/beige colored laces, as well as the round leather laces. These are starting to dry up at retailers, and are starting to show up on eBay, so good luck getting a pair for a reasonable price right now. Maybe after the hype dies a little, but then again, Taka’s Native American influence is timeless and original, regardless of the collections of many other brands this season. Don’t think that he was just following the trends. It’s much more, the other way around.

Vans has now jumped on board with their collaboration with TRON: Legacy, in the form of a Sk8-Hi themed after the movie. The high top comes in a black canvas/aqua leather colorway with a TRON tag placed on the tongue, Disney tag inside the tongue, and various TRON futuristic touches throughout the shoe. The sneaker will release December 2010 at ABC-Mart in Japan, so yes, these are Japan only release!

A spy shot of this collection surfaced on the forum awhile back, and now we have found a few nicer shots of the Buffalo Boot, thanks to Swish36 on SC forums. Some rumors have been going around, that the W)Taps leopard sk8-mid is a Japan exclusive, but not sure about the Buffalo Boot. Syndicate never fails to deliver on the goods, and these preview shots are a nice glimpse into the future of Syndicate, despite another rumor! Not much info about these, but samples have been shipped to your local “S” dealers, so if you know somebody, then you better ask somebody!

The time has finally come! The newest addition from Taka Hayashi is now available as of today at most of your Vault dealers. The sk8-hi, and slip-on themed models, dubbed the Hi, and Lo, were chosen this time, and to add a cherry on top, Pendleton also came on board to add their Native American touches to the shoes, by way of their wool prints. These are now available at Bows And Arrows Berkeley.
