A few months back, we learned of this awesome Vans x Holden collaboration, and you don’t have to wait much longer, as these have started shipping to dealers that are going to be carrying these. If you do an internet search for “Vans Holden”, you’ll find a few shops that are already preselling these, with shipments arriving early next week. Don’t sleep on a sick looking Sk8-Hi, constructed with some premium materials to boot! They’re going for $79.99 at most spots, like TightBoards.com. Only available for purchase inside the USA, but I’m sure you can find a proxy buyer on our OTWS forums, with no problem!
We’ve already shown you this release a few times, but here’s some new photos of the upcoming 20th Anniversary Half Cab release, by Vans. Not sure if every colorway is going to be a Supreme exclusive, or if only the “duct tape” pair will be. Check out some new pics, taken by Highsnobiety, while at the Agenda tradeshow last week, and also get a closer look at the other colorways, that were inspired and seen on early Thrasher Magazine covers. That’s pretty much the only new news!

If you’re one of the lucky ones who are attending the Agenda Tradeshow this week, in Huntington Beach, then you’ll get to check out the latest release to be revealed from Vans Syndicate. They’ve teamed up with pro skaters Jason Dill, and Anthony Van Engelen, for the Spring 2012 season, on these super sick animal print themed classics. The metallic snakeskin Authentic is Jason Dill’s, the leopard print Old Skool is Anthony Van Engelen’s, and the Sk8-Low, features a combination of both of their styles, with black glossy leather for the outside, and a mixture of leopard print and snakeskin on the inside. The Authentic pair has a clear bottom sole, and all have white midsoles. These are instant classics!

“Longtime Vans OTW fan and collaborator Eric Elms recently teamed up with the skate brand’s design crew to customize their classic OTW Bedford. Eric’s Bedford colorway uses an extensive mix of materials including a black British Millerain waxed coated fabric upper, shiny metal accents, a tonal embossed leather tongue labeling personalized with an Elms exterior flag tag detail and even a custom footbed graphic. Complete with a gum sole, the Eric Elms x Vans OTW Bedford is available now at select Vans OTW accounts. Check out more in the brief video.”

Vans and DQM are teaming up to bring New York their first Vans retail store, and Hypebeast has released an article explaining everything you need to know about it, and why it’s a big deal for Vans and New York.
Words via Hypebeast:
“The General, Vans’ first company retail foray in Manhattan, brings together two of the most prolific names in contemporary streetwear – one rooted in Southern California surf and skate, the other in New York skate and street – in creating a unique retail concept carrying both original, exclusive co-branded DQM for Vans footwear and crafted apparel as well as select Vans and DQM premium product for men, women and kids”

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted up some of my recent pickups, but I figured my latest one was worth sharing with you all. The Old Skool you are looking at here, was designed by Hikmet from Solebox, the premier sneaker boutique in Berlin, Germany. You’re looking at one of only 60 pairs produced, and I was fortunate to get them from Erwin, one of our OTWS members who picks up about as much stuff as Samcolt12 it seems! He’s from the Netherlands, so he has more opportunities to come across rare gems like these, than us stateside Vans enthusiasts. Join our forums, and you too will meet awesome people like him, who may one day help you find that rare piece you’ve been dying to add to your collection! Thanks for letting me check off one of my holy grails, Erwin!

Vans has gotten together with UK brand Harris Tweed, makers of the finest tweed clothing, and their signature styles are known all over the world. For this particular release, they chose to use the popular herringbone pattern, in 3 subtle colorways. Not much info out there just yet, but we believe these are an Asia-only exclusive, so if you want to get your Sherlock Holmes steez on, then you gotta find a friend overseas!

One of our very own OTWS members, Erwin, from the Netherlands, was able to cop one of the 100 pairs of the Chukka Lows from Civilist, and he was happy to share with us, some up close pics of the entire package that came along with the kicks. It’s great to see some of our very own members picking up some rare heat! Not much else to say, but enjoy the pics!
