Thanks to OTWS member wolfstrice09 for posting up this pic in our Vans Sightings thread, we can show you what Lil’ Wayne was seen rocking at a recent Lakers game. The newly released Celtek snowboard boot. A definite attention grabbing shoe for the court-side seats! Looks like someone’s getting kicked down some promo stuff from Vans!
Words from Vans:
“One of the original founders of Celtek, Erik Leines was a long-time pro rider for Vans and helped develop the Hi-Standard into one of the team favorites it has become today. So as we all started talking about working on a project together, this became an obvious place to start. In this exciting new collection you’ll find a Hi-Standard boot and Chukka Low shoe featuring Celtek’s trademark artwork, colors and aesthetics, while Celtek has developed an innovative Vans glove and mitten that are packed full of “Off The Wall” flavor.”
Boot features-
– Stainless Steel Double-Posted Lace Hooks
– Pleasure Cuff
– Instep Lace Lock Out
– Internal Web Harness and OTW Lace Lock
– TriFit X Thermal Liner
– V2 Footbed
– VansLite Outsole

Sorry I’m barely finding out all of this info now, but I guess better late than never! FLY held a pretty nice get together for the release of the Rabbit Era. Check out the awesome Vans beer cuzi’s that are seen throughout the crowd. I also see a few Syndicates on feet.

Vans has teamed up with mainland China’s O.G. and most prominent skateshop FLY, to bring to the locals this awesome Era collaboration. You might know them from their early on collaboration with Nike SB on the “Milk Blazers”, where FLY owner Jeff Han’s picture was featured on the shoe. Well, Vans wants to expand it’s market into China, and they’ve already opened a Vans store with the help of FLY, so it seems fitting that a collabo was in the works as well. First off, I’m just going to say that this might be a shoe that will be in the top 5 collaborations of the new year. The cream/off white suede is simple, yet elegant, and the rabbit fur tongue is the kicker. How many pairs of Vans do you have with rabbit fur on them? It’s a sign of good luck, and a nod to the “Year of the Rabbit” that these shoes are being released in. The red top eyelet and inner lining give just enough contrast to these otherwise plain looking shoes. I need these! They’ve already released in China, so keep your eyes open on eBay for a pair! Peep the video below, and check out more pics after the jump.
