Vans x Supreme x Comme des Garçons SHIRT – Authentic & Sk8-Hi (June 2012)

It’s funny, because we thought we had the entire Spring line-up figured out, as far as the Vans x Supreme collabs went.  I mean, the accompanying apparel has already been releasing, so it seemed like a no-brainer that the shoes were on their way, but it just goes to show that we don’t know anything about what’s coming out next!  Well, we had sort of a hint over the weekend regarding a Supreme x CDG Vans release, but it was just a picture out of a magazine, posted up by OTWS member wolfstrice09.  The official news came early this morning, by Supreme newsletter, that an entire capsule collection will be dropping, complete with two new Vans models.

The Authentic, and the Sk8-Hi were chosen, and both feature the same pinstripe material found on the button-up shirt, and camp caps.  The Sk8-Hi features black suede, in the classic colorblocking, with a black wave stripe, and the Authentic features silver lace eyelets, and a white collar lining.  Other than that, these are one of those simpler releases, that may not look like your typical Supreme collab, but the details and matching material is what these are all about.

The Vans won’t release until mid-June, however the rest of the entire collection releases this Friday, March 16th, at all retail locations throughout the world, as well as online in the US.

Vans Core – Grosso Pro Classics Pack (Spring 2012)

We’re no stranger to the collabs that Vans and Jeff Grosso put out each year, but the general public may not know the gems that they truly are.  Grosso’s roots are in pool and vert ramp skating, so his line always features a Sk8-Mid Vert Pro, but there’s always a few more added to the lineup as well, because we all need a little bit of variety in our lives!  This time, he chose to put the Old Skool 92 into the mix, and the color theme he went with for both models was straight up a nod to the classics.  Standard black, with white contrast stitching, while sitting on top of a white midsole with black foxing stripes.  Can’t forget to mention, the OG white jazz or “wave” stripe!  All of the Pro technology is there as well, like the removable PU footbed, and the Duracap toe bumpers.  The Old Skool gets done up in nubuck and leather, while the Sk8-Mid Vert Pro gets a premium full-grain leather, and pig suede mock up.  The Sk8-Mid has already been seen at a few Vans stores, but the Old Skool 92 should be following it up real soon.  Are these a must have to your collection?

Vans x Pacific Coast Highway – First Ever Skateboard Deck (Japan Only!)

Isn’t it hard to believe that Vans, a company that’s been rooted in skateboarding since the late 60’s, has never made their own skateboards?  Well, that’s of course until now, when Pacific Coast Highway, a skateboard division, of Japanese apparel label Jackson Matisse came along and changed that!  What’s even more interesting, is that this deck is being made in the same factory which produces the Zip Zinger boards, thus giving it the same shape and concave design as them.  These won’t be out until July, but if you know anyone in Japan who can order on Japanese rakuten sites, then you can place a preorder from Riffle Page 2nd.

Highsnobiety’s Timeline of Vans x Supreme collaborations (Retrospective)

With today’s release of the Supreme MC “Mike Carroll” Vans shoe, Highsnobiety decided to put together an article showcasing all of the shoe collaborations that Supreme has done with Vans over the years.  Their relationship dates back to 1996, when Supreme had just shown up on the scene, and some of those early releases are holy grails for some today.  A few members on our site even hold a few of those prized gems!  All of these shoes can be found on the Supreme site, under the Random section, but Highsnobiety has taken a few nice screenshots for you as well.  Also, I’d like to point out that Supreme didn’t list every single colorway for all of their releases.  Can you tell us which ones are missing?

Vans – Half Cab “20th Anniversary” White (March 2012)

The Half Cab is 20 years old this year, and each month Vans is celebrating the history, by releasing all of the original colorways, as well as a few artist created versions later on in the year.  The 3rd model, following up the Butterscotch colorway for February, is the White model for March.  It’s more of a beige, or off-white colorway, but that’s how they rolled in the 90s!  This pair sits on top of the same all white vulcanized sole as the OG’s did, but they feature the commemorative “20 Years” tag on the side of the shoe.  Also like the original, these will feature a black lining and tongue as well.  These will be due out soon, at your local Vans store.

Vans x Supreme – MC “Mike Carroll” (Spring 2012)

This one flew under the radar big time!  We were expecting to see the Russian camo Half Cabs, and Old Skools to drop first, but low and behold, Supreme is blessing us Vans heads with yet another Mike Carroll shoe, and this time they went with more modern colors, which I must say are looking fresh as hell.  Available in Red, Blue, White, and Black, in a suede nubuck upper, while sitting on a standard white vulcanized waffle sole.  The same signature reflective tongue is back, letting everyone know whose collaboration this is.  If there is a God, please make all the Supreme hype kids stay home on this one, and let us get all four colorways!  I’m speaking for everyone on here!

These will be available in NY, LA, London, and online on March 8th, and in Japan on March 10th.

Vans x Primitive – OTW Bedford (Another Sneak Peek!)

It’s been a minute since we’ve heard or seen anything new regarding the upcoming Primitive x Vans collaboration project.  They’re doing a Half Cab, and a Bedford from the OTW line, and we haven’t seen too many pics of the Bedford, but some new shots recently surfaced.  Still no info, but I’m sure Mr. Andy Netkin and friends over at Primitive will give us the heads up!  Please?!?  Until then, enjoy these new pics.
