Vans OTW x Primitive – Blvd Denim Bedford (Available 9/1!)

Words via Primitive:

OFF THE WALL X ON THE BLVD

“After much success with our previous collaboration with Vans, we’re pleased to unveil our 2nd joint project, The Blvd Denim Bedford.  Mainly constructed of black suede & denim, accents like tortoise leather, reverse denim & copper detailing offer just the right amount of sophistication.

The shoes will be available this Saturday, September 1st exclusively On The Blvd at our Encino boutique & online store. Once they sell out they’ll be gone forever, so you won’t want to miss out on this collectible release from Vans OTW & Primitive Apparel.”

Follow The Blvd Denim Bedford as it enjoys a typical California day with a little bit of yoga, relaxation, sun & sand. It’s a rough life.

*Pricing and additional images will be available at time of release this Saturday.

These really turned out nice, and may be one of the best OTW releases thus far!  Black suede, and black denim, with hits of red?!  That sounds like a winner to me!  Notice the “Off the Wall, On the BLVD” slogan on the backside of the tongue as well.  So many tight details.  Everything a collabo shoe should have!  Nice job Primitive!

Vans – Half Cab Pro “20th Anniversary” Taka Hayashi (September 2012)

For the month of September, the Half Cab 20th Anniversary celebration continues with the Taka Hayashi designed Half Cab Pro.  Constructed, utilizing a rubberized material around the toe, mudguard, and heel panel, while featuring a honeycomb nylon material throughout the shoe.  Dri-Lex is lined throughout the inside of the shoe, and some awesome brown and turquoise workboot laces finish these off nicely.  Also featured, is Taka’s variation of the Half Cab logo, as all of the artist series’ were able to remake.  Such a nice shoe, I expect these to do quite well!  You can purchase them now on the Vans webstore, by clicking on the pic above.

Erwin’s pickups: Vans Syndicate x Carhartt – Old Skool “New Style” “S” (Camo & Natural)

This latest collaboration between Vans Syndicate and Carhartt – WIP (Work In Progress) has the Vans community going nuts.  With their damn near European exclusivity, and alignment with the Vans “S” group, these are on their way to being one of the best Vans sneakers of 2012.  Being that OTWS is truly worldwide, with like-minded fanatics hunting down their favorite Vans, it was only a matter of time until one of our international members posted up that they got their pair(s).  We can almost always guarantee that our Netherlands brother, Erwin, will be on to contribute.  He was somehow able to source the Camo, and the Natural (white) pair, and now that the website has worked out their issues, he may be ordering the black from there as well.  Sorry, still no shipping to the USA!  You can really make out the material details, and the quality of the leather, twill and corduroy materials.  The details are just as good as any prior Vans x Carhartt release.  If you’re like most of us, and are trying desperately to source a pair, then keep your eyes and ears open on our forum, as we may have a member who comes across the info and is willing to share it.  Thanks for the pics Erwin!

Vans Syndicate x Carhartt – Old Skool “New Style” (Euro exclusive)

OK, so I was debating if I should post these up or not, but after all the hypeblogs out there started dropping the info, we had to do it.  I mean, you all come here when you want the real deal Vans info, right?  Truth be told, we’ve known about this release for about half a year now, but the buzz started to build about a week or two ago when word started to trickle in that these were coming very soon.  Well, official info on the Vans Syndicate x Carhartt Old Skool has hit the Carhartt blog, and the due date is tomorrow, the 24th.  There’s just one major issue, though.  These are only being sold through the Carhartt-WIP retail stores, and while there’s many all over Europe, there’s one in the USA, in New York, and I don’t believe that this release is making it to that location.  We can’t confirm it yet, because their phone is jacked up!  We’re busy trying to line up proxy’s to get these damn things at the moment!  More info on the shoes after the jump.

Vans Vault – Piragua Horween LX Boat Shoe (Fall 2012)

Words and photography via Hypebeast:

“Vans originally foreshadowed an upcoming heavyweight collaboration back in July, involving one of America’s greatest ongoing domestic stories. Horween and its tanned leathers have become one of the country’s most prominent links to the past, keeping fresh in the minds of consumers the importance of quality and heritage. As the two American brands join forces, an outcome comes to the forefront with the Vans Vault Piragua Horween LX Boat Shoe. A sneaker approach to a deckside staple, an understated contrast brought forth by the usage of different grains of leather reinforces a certain timeless aesthetic that has accompanied both storied brands over the years. Look for the shoe to hit select retailers globally as a Vans Vault release.”

Vans Syndicate x 8FIVE2 (Hong Kong) – Zero Lo “S” (Coming in December 2012)

I have to give a big shout out to LV_1790 on our OTWS forums, for giving us the heads up on this awesome upcoming Vans Syndicate collaboration with Hong Kong’s OG skateshop 8FIVE2.  They chose to go with a Zero Lo “S” this time around, in an all black colorway, but with a few blue accents, primarily the laces.  They’ve also incorporated their signature floral print on the footbed of the shoe, and the ollie pad looks to be blue, underneath the black outer layer, so that when you skate in these, you’ll expose the blue color over time, but that’s just an assumption.  As more news becomes available, we’ll be sure to share it with y’all!

Vans x Kenzo – Authentic “Grapes” Pack

As part of their second collaboration project with Vans, Parisian label Kenzo created these awesome all-over grape print Authentics.  Following in line with the all-over floral print and the stripe pack that is also releasing in the coming weeks.  While, the second two mentioned are up for pre-order until tomorrow, there is no word on a date or pre-order for these “grapes”.  Available in a black or white colorway, with a white sole and black foxing stripe.  These are being sold exclusively through Opening Ceremony.  What do you think?

Vans Vault x Horween – Era, Mtn. Edition, and Zapato Del Barco (available now @titolo)

This is the first good look we get at the newly released Horween collection from Vans Vault.  The initial video for the collection gave us a few quick glances of these models, but the detailed pics seen here should help you decide if you want these or not.  The price point will be higher than your typical Vans shoe, but it’s a small price to pay for higher quality.  Just look at the pics, and you’ll see that Horween showcased all of their leathers for this release, and Vans couldn’t have done a better job in designing these masterpieces!  Check out the Mountain Edition LX above, and see the Era LX, Zapato Del Barco LX, and the Sk8-Hi Boat Strap LX after the jump.  These are now available at Titolo in Switzerland, and should be hitting US retailers soon, as well as other spots around the globe.
