“With the Windy City’s harsh weather in full effect, Chicago-based retailer Saint Alfred aligns with Vans Vault to create a specially designed Chukka LX to aid in taking on the fall months with purpose and style. This release evolves from a previously curated series between the two brands and the MLB which saw the use of the Chukka LX sillhouette back in 2010. This time around the renowned Vans model is treated with a reverse waffle sole to prevent a pavement slip and give more tread, as well as a resin coated canvas upper capable of repelling water. Additional details include a premium leather lining and 3 extra laces: hiking laces; red waxed laces; and black waxed laces. Limited to 200 pairs, this collaborative Chukka LX will be available exclusively at Saint Alfred, Saint Alfred’s webstore, Kicks/HI and Bodega. Vans x St. Alfred – Chukka Boot

There’s not much news out there about this one, and it surely flew under the radar, but it looks like St. Alfred will be releasing this sleek looking Chukka Boot for all of us. Toned down, except for the bold “STA” logo on the tongue, but the details look quite nice. Black waxed canvas makes up most of the shoe, and the red and black hiker laces give it that nice contrast. These are ready for the winter, which seems like a perfect time to drop these, so if you are diggin’ them, then stay tuned as more info becomes available. An aparent release date is set for Saturday, October 6th. Mark your calendars!

Vans x Bones Brigade – Sk8-Hi REISSUE Pack (Holiday 2012)

Here’s a more detailed look at the upcoming Bones Brigade Sk8-Hi REISSUE pack. We’ve already seen the flyer for these, so we know that they’ll be offered in two of Vans’ iconic colorways, the black and white checkers, and the navy/light blue colorway. Both pairs have the O.G. REISSUE design, throwing it back to the early days of skating, when these were the standard pairs to wear. We now get a close up look at the embroidery on the tongue, as well as a catalog snapshot of some of the cool distinguishers of this pack. For instance, the Bones Brigade branding is printed on the sockliner as well as the inside collar lining. We also should be seeing a logo on the heel tab as well, although the photos seen here don’t have them. Let’s hope that makes it to final production. Oh, and Vans also created a special sticker hang tag for the shoe. What do you think? Must haves for me! Available for purchase by clicking on the pic above!

“From the highly limited Vans Vault collection comes this “Brushed Camo” pack, a collection of three models featuring camouflage uppers. Partnering with the esteemed Horween Leather Factory, producers of premium leather since 1905, the shoes utilize the company’s quality leather for the uppers. Consisting of the Sk8 Mid HW LX, 106 Moc HW LX and the Piragua HW LX, the collection features camouflage leather with premium brown Horween leather accents. Both the Piragua HW LX and the 106 Moc HW LX feature a Moc toebox with white stitching while the Sk8 Mid HW LX offers a more traditional skate shoe silhouette. As always, these shoes feature Vans’ signature waffle sole and also come with premium leather laces. Available for the holiday season, these will be released through official Vans Vault retailers.”

Vans x Bones Brigade – Sk8-Hi Reissue

Wow! Just wow! These are going to be dope. Some familiar classic colorways are being brought back, in the reissue version of the Sk8-Hi, to coincide with the release of the Bones Brigade documentary by Stacy Peralta. For those of you who don’t know the difference with the “reissue” Sk8-Hi, it’s mainly lin the lace eyelet panel. It doesn’t create an ollie-pad towards the bottom where the panel meets the foxing, so it’s basically the same width all the way down the upper. Available in the OG Blue, and the Black/White Checkerboard colorways. Each pair features the “Bones Brigade” logo embroidered on the heel panel. Both please!!! These should be out mid October everywhere, and expect some apparel pieces as well!
