Odyssey and Vans teamed up to create 100 custom limited edition pairs of “Authentics” for this year’s Texas Toast Jam. These “Toast” Vans were only available during the event, which successfully went down on October 13-14.

If you missed out on these, now is your chance to grab some for a good cause. We have a very small amount left in various sizes available now, with 100% of the proceeds going to ARF (The Athlete Recovery Fund). ARF provided medical staff for this years Texas Toast Jam and has helped many riders with health care in their time of need.

The Sierra Trek Lo LX is back, from Vans Vault and Taka Hayashi. Constructed in premium Horween leather, in a similar make-up as the last drop, but this time, sitting on top of a funky new saw-tooth ripple sole. Vans OTW x Chris Kong – Alomar

“Vans OTW has teamed up with Hong Kong designer Chris Kong on a limited edition version of its Alomar mid top sneaker. Kong heads Garage Works Industries, known for its vinyl figures and toys, mostly in collaboration with well known contemporary artists. Years ago we have actually worked with Chris Kong on a special Highsnobiety version of their Ron English toy.”

Today we can give you a first preview of the collaborative sneaker that he created with Vans OTW. It comes in a striking red colorway with a thunder graphic embroidery on the side and a fading check pattern on the mid-sole.

“In celebration of Taka Hayashi’s unique designs, Vans showcased product from the Vault creative’s Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 capsules on at the Vans DQM General in New York’s SoHo District. For his special trunk show, Hayashi exhibited a few of his hand drawn art pieces on store walls and created several unique displays including a birdhouse installation for the front window. Loyal Vans DQM patrons filled the shop for the chance to meet Taka Hayashi and check out his current collection of silhouettes alongside next season’s offerings of premium footwear and apparel.”

“Artist and designer Taka Hayashi again leaves his impression on the Vans Vault series of footwear, but this time on a low-cut variation of the classic TH Sierra Trek silhouette. Working once more with premium Horween leather, Hayashi replaces the original crepe-based outsole with a Vibram ripple sole to better suit the coming of winter. Offered in black or cork, the shoe is accented by patterned stitching around the ankle opening, tonal laces, metal lace slits and signature ‘TH’ feather branding. Set to drop in the middle of November of this year, the TH Sierra Trek Lo LX “Horween Pack” will be made available at select Vans Vault stockists.”

Here’s part two of the Julien Stranger Pack from Vans Syndicate. Let’s just say that this one arrived fashionably late, but it’s all good. With these releases coming in droves right now, it’s making us Vans collectors have to pick and choose which ones we want to spend our money on. This one is going to be a definite cop for me. With the perforated navy suede, and the tonal colorway chosen, these will be another everyday wear shoe. Time to give my jazz stripe Old Skool’s a rest! “From his 1988 appearance in the cult classic skateboarding film, Sick Boys, a document of the early street skating movement in San Francisco, to his 1993 founding of Anti-Hero Skateboards and setting the creative tone for which the brand is world famous today, Julien Stranger is amongst skateboarding’s most innovative and influential pioneers. Not that you’d ever know that if were to have a look at his feet though. Julien’s feet are disgusting; the unfortunate result of a strong aversion to wearing socks. Recognizing that he surely mustn’t be alone in this plight, for Julien’s Holiday Syndicate collaboration, he set out to reconstruct a couple of his favorite Vans styles for the expressed aim of sockless wearability and comfort.”
