Vans x CLOT – “Tribesmen” Collection (Holiday 2012)

Hong Kong based CLOT has collaborated with Vans on a capsule collection of footwear for Holiday 2012, choosing to work on the Vans Era and Vans Slip-On, which are two of the most identifiable and iconic models. Following in their Holiday 2012 “Tribesmen” theme, CLOT applied embroideries and knit motifs to their designs, combined with a washed canvas to give them a sort of worn, or vintage appeal.

The official launch of the CLOT x Vans Holiday 2012 “Tribesmen” Sneaker Collection takes place on December 14, 2012, at JUICE Hong Kong.

Vans Syndicate x 8FIVE2 – Seylynn “S” (Video)

Here’s the first official video of the Vans Syndicate x 8FIVE2 Seylynn “S”. The limited edition Seylynn “S” comes in a black and imperial blue colorway and features 8FIVE2’s iconic graphic with five-petal Hong Kong orchid tree flower camouflage, which has been used on all past 8FIVE2 collabs. The 8FIVE2 x Vans Syndicate Seylynn “S” will be available at the 8FIVE2SHOP located in Causeway Bay in Hong Kong on December 1 for $790 HKD (approximately $101 USD).

It looks like Hong Kong skateshop 8FIVE2 is set to drop their latest collaboration project with Vans Syndicate. They’re dubbing the shoe as the “Seylynn S”. Not sure what makes it different from a Zero Lo “S”, but we’ll just call it what they’re calling it. We’ve been following this release for about a year now, and it’s finally here. This Friday, 8FIVE2 will be hosting an event from 8PM til’ LATE, including live music by Jun Kung & Band. Vans Japan has once again teamed up with Japanese retailer Beauty & Youth on another Vans shoe, this time choosing the Chukka Boot. They’ve decided to go with Harris Tweed all over, in a brown, and a gray colorway, which fits right in line with the Winter season upon us. So whether you study at Oxford, or you privately investigate crimes with a big magnifying glass, these should be perfect for you! Oh wait, I forgot to mention that these are a Japan exclusive, like all Beauty & Youth Vans, duh! You should’ve known by now!

DQM will be releasing a new Vans Era and Sk8-Hi today, November 29th. The “Wovens” collection introduces a new diamond woven suede material for the quarter which was completely woven by hand. The shoes will be available exclusively at The Vans DQM General in SoHo, New York, and in the DQM online store.

Vans Vault x Taka Hayashi Spring 2013 Trunk Show Comes To Blends OC!

This Tuesday, on November 27th, 2012, the Vans Vault x Taka Hayashi Trunk Show will be coming to Blends OC, in Costa Mesa, at The Lab. There, you will be able to shop all of the current 2012 Vans Vault x Taka Hayashi kicks, as well as pre-order his 2013 capsule collection. There will be free whiskey and food, so come on down and hang out! Word is, they’ll be handing out free Taka tote bags, and t-shirts as well! Diemme presents the Buffalo Boot in an outdoor aesthetic inspired by their own Roccia Vet silhouette, rebuilding the vulcanized model with welted construction methods. Waterproof suede uppers, gusseted tongue, Vibram outsole, metal hardware and heavy duty hiker laces are utilized in this collaborative redesign for complete protection against the elements.
