The collaboration between artist Curtis Kulig and Vans has finally started showing up at your local Vans accounts. His signature “Love Me” script can be seen in an all-over print on the Authentic, while a larger embroidered version can be found on the Sk8-Hi OG slim. Both are available up to a Mens sz10, so all you small footed people are lucky! If you are having trouble getting these from your local spot, then click on the link above, or below to purchase from the Vans webstore.
John Cardiel always brings the heat with his signature Vans models, and this time he chose the Sk8-Mid as his model of choice, going with a work boot theme. On the Vans site, they aren’t labeled as VERT’s, but the notchback heel is normally reserved for those models. These come wrapped entirely in chestnut colored leather, with white contrast stitching and gold metal eyelets, while featuring standard work boot laces for that finishing touch. It’s a Pro model, so you know the deal. Padded footbeds, and DURACAP come standard. These are actually available for purchase now on the Vans online store. “Tyler, the Creator‘s affinity for Vans has been no secret for some time. The relationship between both parties are set to culminate in an upcoming collaboration based on the Old Skool. In typical and expected Tyler, the Creator style, the Old Skool is previewed in an unusual setting. Stay tuned for more details of its release.”
Hey guys, this one’s been in the works for awhile now, and we can proudly announce our next tee for OTWS. This time, one of our OG members, Izam, aka joni_loco, from OTWS Malaysia, has designed this cool graphic tee for us. Inspired by Steve Caballero, and his 20th Anniversary of the Half Cab, he decided to design his version of a Cab style dragon graphic, while incorporating a motorsports theme, which he shares a passion for. Cabby himself is a hot rod enthusiast, so hopefully he’ll like this one as well! Who doesn’t like a good ol’ fashioned race day shirt anyways? This has vintage hot rod steez all over it.
The tee is black, with cream or beige ink. There’s a chest hit, as well as a large back logo. No pocket this time, so the tee will be $20. This tee’s production will be strictly based on how many orders we get in. There will be a delay, as we are taking in the orders, to fund the print job. We’ll try to be fast, even if it means going to another printer who we haven’t dealt with before.
Mens tee sizes: S-3XL
Womens tee sizes: S-2XL
Shipping will be $6 per tee, via USPS, inside the USA, and $16 international.

The next Taka Hayashi design to come out of the Vans Vault team, is this new low-top profile, called the TH Lace To Toe LX. Inspired by classic military paratrooper boots, these come wrapped in Horween leather, while sitting on top of a Cristy Vibram sole. A nice tumbled leather accent has been utilized on the heel as well. Look for these to be out in the Spring, via your local Vault dealer.

Not much info out on these just yet, but Modern Notoriety has leaked a photo of what looks to be an upcoming Vans Syndicate collaboration, with Tyler The Creator of Odd Future. There’s 4 Old Skools shown, each sitting on top of a gum sole, with color-matching foxing stripe. The white jazz stripe on each pair, sets a nice contrast for the otherwise tonal shoe. As more info arises, we’ll be sure to share it with you all.

Words via Chris at OTW:
“The Vans OTW Collection proudly presents Advocate Lupe Fiasco’s signature Stovepipe colorway this holiday season. Fiasco’s inspiration for this project references ‘90s hip-hop culture and fashion, an aesthetic he refers to as “Native Tongues”. The Grammy-award winning emcee integrates retro patterns and color schemes from the era into the design of the Stovepipe; the pattern utilized on the canvas tongue takes visual cues from native cultures and is a blend of African and Native American prints while the rest of the shoe is crafted in leather from ankle wrap to toe vamp in an all-black form that is contrasted by a bright hit of color at the outsole. The “Native Tongue” canvas is also used to construct a premium drawstring backpack that comes with each pair of the Stovepipe. Finished off with custom Lupe Fiasco branding and packaged with deluxe shoe box artwork, the Vans OTW x Lupe Fiasco Stovepipe is now available at select Vans OTW Collection retailers.”

“Hayashi brings his sense of originality to Vans Vault once again for a 2012 holiday silhouette, this time with the TH Sierra Dune LX. The shoe references an earlier design from this year, the Sierra Trek, yet has been reinforced with sharp lines around the side, and raised around the ankle to offer maximum protection from the elements. The Sierra Dune is also detailed above the ankle, reminiscent of Fair Isle patterning. With the same ridged sole of the Sierra Trek, the Sierra Dune LX is a full-grain leather boot constructed for adventure. The boot comes in three distinct colors: black, brown, and two-tone tan and grey. Look for the TH Sierra Dune LX collection at select Vans Vault retailers soon.”

Vans has teamed up with Italian retailer Athletes World, to create this remake of the original “American Flag” Sk8-Hi from back in the day. It seems that a lot of other countries take pride in Americana, and we just seem to overlook it, in our quest to fit in, while standing out. There’s a message somewhere in that. Can we find it? Anyways, true to the classics, the uppers are made of a navy suede, with canvas “American Flag” side panels. Sitting on top of white soles, these are finished off nicely with white round cotton shoelaces. Unfortunately, these are exclusive to AW-LAB, which means if you want a pair, you’ll have to purchase them from Italy!
