Vans x Coarse Toys – Sk8-Hi Chair (Available on eBay)

We’ve all came across pics of these chairs online, at some time or another, but most may not know what they are, or how to get them. Originally released in 2006, by Coarse Toys of Germany, which is now based in Hong Kong, this chair models the Sk8-Hi they used on their Pain edition of their popular Flake character. Well, a seller from Germany has posted one up for sale, and from the pics, he may be sitting on a few of them. Here’s the kicker…they’re listed at $2500 obo + $150 shipping. You’ve got to be either a super die-hard Vans fanatic, or a fan with a little bit of extra money to spare. I’d love to own one of these, but at least someone will have a chance to own it. I just wanted to share the pics with you, and document one of the cool, rare Vans related items in the world.

Vans Vault x Diemme – Montebelluna Collection (Spring/Summer 2013)

We now have some new information on the upcoming sneaker collaboration with Vault and Italian brand Diemme. They’ve already teamed up on a high-end boot a few months ago, and this time around they’re working with two familiar silhouettes. There’s some differences though, and so the collaborators gave the shoes their own name, respectively. First up is the Montebelluna Hi LX, the Sk8-Hi variation, and next is the Montebelluna Lo LX, which gets it’s good looks from the classic Slip-On. Both are hand-constructed in fine black or navy Italian leather, and sit on top of a cupsole that is stitched to the upper, and from 10 feet away you couldn’t tell that these aren’t equipped with a standard Vans vulc sole. Good thing, because with the $300 and $350 price mark, you want these things to last longer than your average pair of Vans! Oh, you didn’t know that was the price? Hehe, well what do you expect from a fine hand-made Italian piece of craftsmanship? Now, the question is…will you pay full retail for these in April, when they start showing up in assuming limited numbers?

This t-shirt release has been a long long long time coming! After dealing with some printer issues, we finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel, and got these babies printed up. Thanks for your patience!

Awhile back, OTWS O.G. member Izam, aka joni_loco, came to me with a cool dragon graphic, inspired by Steve Caballero. Seeking inspiration from another one of his joys, being a motorsports enthusiast, he wanted to come up with something that could represent his contribution to Offthewallsite, and still cater to our members here at OTWS. That’s how the Pit Crew theme came about. Once again, representing a group aspect, which we always try to push here at OTWS. Our community is strong, and is the foundation of what we are, so if you get it, then cool, if not, then whatevers! The graphic takes you back to the early days of hot rod drag racing. With a cream ink on black tee and vintage lettering, this design will go perfect with your broken in pair of Sk8-Hi’s or Old Skools, and some cuffed denim. Hell, you might even want to grab some pomade, and slick your hair back, and roll up a box of cigs in your short sleeve!

Vans Syndicate x Concepts – “Combat Zone”

It appears that Concepts in Boston has something in the works with Vans Syndicate, and is set to release something on 3/30/13. There is no other info as of yet, so stay tuned, as CNCPTS always puts out some dope stuff!

Here, we get to take a look at another Japan exclusive Vans shoe, this time a collaboration with Comme des Garcons HOMME. Choosing to go with an Era, wrapped entirely in a blue chambray upper, while sitting on top of an all-white vulcanized sole. These are available now, via LEN’s webshop, in a US 9, 10, and 11. Don’t ask me how to order from, though!

Supreme has once again collaborated with Comme des Garçons SHIRT® to produce a capsule collection for the Spring ’13 season, and they’ve included two pairs of Eras, and two pairs of Half Cabs, wrapped in fabric that was used for the entire collection. This season, Supreme and CDG SHIRT went with a digital camo, with polka-dots layered on top of it, as well as a micro-houndstooth pattern of some sort in two colorways. Each shoe gets both combinations. Confused? Just look at the pics! These are set to release in June, but the clothing will be out this week. What do you think?
