Vans California – Era & Slip-On “Washed Paisley” (Spring/Summer 2012)

Here’s another one of those releases that flies under the radar.  Dubbed the “washed paisley” pack, the Era seen here comes in a Bitter Chocolate colorway, with an all-over paisley print.  Also available is a Slip-On version. The shoe has a nice look to it, agree?  The cream colored vulcanized sole suits it nicely, and the round waxed laces add to it’s character.  Both shoes are available for purchase after the jump, by clicking on the pic.

Vans California x Offspring – Era 59 CA (Summer 2012)

Words via Offspring:

“Offspring and Vans continue to cement their long standing relationship with yet another utterly unique and exclusive pack of Era 59 california. As our affiliation with Vans goes back such a long way, we felt it was only right to pay homage to their skating heritage with a few quirky details.

One key design feature to note is the matte textured rubber toe box. The idea behind this is to act as a direct reference to the grip tape used on a skateboard. This approach has never been done before and has been mixed with premium leather on the tongue, heel and flag. The middle quarters are also given the Vans California premium treatment with rich suede. These new and exclusive Era 59 California’s are extremely limited in numbers so you will need to be quick to secure yourself a piece of Vans v Offspring history.”

You can purchase each pair below:

Vans ERA 59 Chestnut/Web SMU £64.99

Vans ERA 59 Sycamore SMU £64.99

New Vans California drops @Silostore

Are any of you having trouble finding Vans CA dealers?  Being the middle child of the Vans family isn’t always easy, and sometimes finding an identity is one of the hardest parts.  Well we can help guide you in the right direction to one of the best CA dealers around, and that’s Silo in the mid-west.  Brant, homie of OTWS and fellow Syndicate collector by default, knows good product for sure, and that’s why he stocks the CA line deep.  I keep saying it, but I think the CA team is taking over this year, and who knows for how many years after!  Here’s a few new drops that he got in last week, but I’ve been slow to head on over to his blog lately, so I am sharing this info with you pretty late.  Not to worry, CA’s aren’t that limited, so there should be plenty to go around.  Check out the latest Sk8-Hi Boat, Chukka, and Chukka Del Barco to release.  Very nice!

Vans California – Chukka “Split Seams” (Fall 2012)

Vans has a pretty good track record when it comes to designing hybrid models, and creating variations of existing models, and their latest creation is an update on their popular Chukka model.  You don’t want to call this one a Chukka Low, because it has the uppers of a Chukka boot.  The central focus on this shoe is the split seam running up the center of the toe, similar to a brogue boot or some oxfords.  It surely gives it a classy look, and the textured midsoles give it that nice touch of a crepe sole, even though it’s not.  The final noticeable detail is the leather heel panel.  What do you think?  I think California is destined to take over this year, as Vans’ leading brand!
