Check out these awesome Mid Skool ’77’s from the Vans California Holiday 2011 collection.  This time, returning in a “hiker pack”, which we are becoming more familiar with.  The Mid Skool seems like the perfect hiker shoe, even though it’s roots are within skateboarding.  It didn’t take much to make this shoe a legit hiker.  Add a little bit of soft, broken in, wrinkled leathers, a few D-ring lace eyelets, and a heavy duty stitched foxing stripe, and there you go.  Oh, and don’t forget the fleece lining that resembles animal fur, to keep your feet cozy during the colder months.  These are finished off nicely, with color contrasting kiking laces.  The shoes are available in 3 colorways: Bison, Black, and Silver Mink.  Available soon at your local Vans California dealer.

The Era returns to the CA collection, for the Holiday season, with colors appropriate for the season.  With earth tones galore, and gum sole bottoms, you’ll be ready to rock these with your favorite flannel, or work-wear jacket!  There’s a nice mixture of tumbled leather, suede, and leather laces, that let’s you know these belong to the California collection, so when people ask  you where you got them, point them to the nearest CA dealer, or online, and help spread the Vans gospel!

The Switchback returns to the California collection this season, in a “Water Resistant” pack, constructed with water repellant treated leathers, and consisting of 3 colorways, similar to your average duck boot.  The tan, and the light brown colored pairs, come with gum soles, while the third pair is entirely black on black.  With the reasonable price point on the California collection, these should be an easy cop for the wet season ahead.  Available soon from your local CA dealer.

Check out these interesting Chukka boots from the CA collection, dubbed the “Nordic Pack”.  Available in two colorways: Black on a Cream sole, or Sandy Brown on a gum sole.  Both are constructed of smooth suede, and the feature of this pack, is the “Nordic” patterns on the side panels of the shoe.  Both are finished off with square leather laces.  Not much more info on these, but expect them around the winter time!

Nice!  Brant just also posted that he will be carrying Vans California for 2012, and he even has a few models from this season, to tease you with!  We are expecting big things for Vans CA, and now the fine folks of Nebraska have a closer spot to get theirs!

The Zapato Del Barco is now available from the California collection, in 3 great colorways.  3 wearable colorways, I might add!  Navy Blue, Black, and Olive Green.  All constructed with a mixture of tonal suede, with the toe being perforated.  Each pair has the same brown leather heel piece, and all-white midsole.  White contrast stitching finishes these off nicely.  Now available at Bows & Arrows in Berkeley.

Vans California steadily hits it out of the park season after season, and these Old Skool Reissue CA’s are next up to bat.  Available in 3 colorways: Black/Whisper White, Ginger Bread/Whisper White, and Dress Blue/Whisper White.  All constructed with premium leather, with matching foxing stripes.  Each pair features contrasting white stitching throughout the shoe, while sitting on top of a Whisper White sole.  Each shoe is finished off with sleek round laces, for that slimmed down look.  These will most definitely be a home run hit as well!  Available soon from your local California dealer.
