Vans California – Chukka Del Pato “Duck Boot” (Fall 2012)

Check out this awesome new model from Vans California, dubbed the Duck Sneaker.  They took a Chukka Del Barco, and turned it into a water resistant duck boot, complete with “bean boot” lines on the toe, a rubber rand, and waxed laces.  For those of you living in more wet climates, these should be a must have!  Due out in the Fall at your local Vans California dealer.

Vans California – Wool Pack (Spring 2012)

Here’s a nice offering from the Spring 2012 Wool Pack, in the form of two preppy models.  The Chukka Del Barco, and the 106 Moc LX are both seen here in a primarily grey wool material, with premium brown leather accents.  The brown leather laces also go perfectly with these.  I’m surprised that we didn’t see these earlier on, as they are already starting to show up at a few CA dealers, like District Footwear.

Vans California – LP Penny Loafer CA (Spring 2012)

The Penny Loafer is a new model to the California collection, but if you recall, last year the Penny Loafer was released under Vans Vault.  Vans Vault normally is tasked with trying out new models in their small, fashion forward network of retailers, and if they prove to be successful, then most likely the model will continue on to the California collection which is carried in a few select markets, and then after that, on to the general release line, typically found in all Vans stores.  Well, the LP Penny Loafer is doing big things, as we see it moving up the ranks, on it’s way into the mainstream.  For the CA version seen here, Vans California constructed the shoe in a premium leather and suede combo, in 3 nice colorways:  Seal, Taupe Brown, and Black.  Each model sits on top of a white midsole, and features a contrasting nylon heel pull.  These will be out soon at your local CA dealer.

Vans California – Chukka TC CA (Spring 2012)

Check out the latest release from the Vans California team.  Seen here is the Chukka TC CA, a Chukka modified with a rubber toe-cap, thus the TC name.  Go figure.  These are constructed in heavy 10 oz. canvas, in 3 colorways: black, grey, and burgundy.  Each pair sports brass colored lace eyelets, and contrasting white stitching.  Each pair sits on top of the same textured white midsole.  A very interesting shoe, to say the least.

Vans California – Era Decon CA (Spring 2012)

Check out these awesome deconstructed Era’s due out in January from the Vans California team.  For all you new visitors to our site, let me put you up on game with this unfamiliar model.  Whenever Vans uses the label “Decon” in any of their models, it primarily means that the shoe is deconstructed, or minimalized.  Stripped down, are all the extra padding, and sometimes even the embellishments such as wave stripes on the side of the shoe, or just pretty much any unnecessary panels that aren’t providing structural support for the shoe.  It’s a bare-bones, sleek appearance that they try to achieve, to fit in with certain fashion trends.  With that said, now you know!  This release consists of two colorways: brown/dark grey, and light brown/navy, both constructed of premium leather and suede.  The Vans CA line can be found at certain retail outlets, such as Nordstroms, and certain boutiques, but never at any Vans stores.  These will be available soon!
