SBTG for House of Vans SG – “Big Pants, Small Wheels” Sk8-Hi Custom

Vans Singapore has teamed up with sneaker artist and customizer SBTG for an event they’re holding on Sep. 24th at the House of Vans Singapore. Dubbed “Big Pants, Small Wheels”, SBTG has chopped down the Sk8-Hi into a mid, and added some intricate finishing details to the exposed cut ankle collar. There’s still some signature paint designs on the shoe, but the added thread and bead work are a nice addition to his newest Vans rendition. He also opted to add some words to the mid-soles, something we haven’t seen before. These are looking great as usual, and I don’t know how he was able to add more detail and have a price point that is lower than his past Vans shoes, but he did it! Each pair is only going for $333, which can be pre-ordered now on his site.

Vans “Year of the Monkey” Half Cab & Sk8-Hi (Asia Exclusive?)

For the forthcoming Year of the Monkey, the sneakers have been designed along the theme of ‘Monkey Rules’ and draw inspiration from China’s commemorative stamps of 1980, 1992 and 2004. The result is a Sk8-Hi Reissue with a tonal red suede upper, black liner and white sole, a pink Sk8-Hi slim with yellow accents, and a multicolored suede Half-Cab, all with premium materials. The “Year of the Monkey” Collection will be available at select Vans retailers around the globe starting December 28. Vans – “Year of the Sheep” Sk8-Hi Reissue Zip & Slip-On (2015)

This year marks the year of the sheep in the Chinese zodiac calendar, and Vans has once again come up with a pack to commemorate the new year. Can you guess what material they chose to go with? Bitch you guessed it!…faux sheep fur! Yup, these cozy joints will keep your feet warm all winter and fall, and not to mention look super dope. They’ve chosen the Slip-On and the highly successful Sk8-Hi Zip for this pack in a sort of “white sheep” vs “black sheep” theme, with some subtle contrast on the black pairs. The premium aged leather uppers are a nice choice as well, letting you know that these aren’t your average GR model. Look for these to release across Asia at the beginning of January, and will soon follow in other countries.

Vans Japan x White Mountaineering – Slip-On (Winter/Spring 2015)

Vans Japan teams up again with White Mountaineering to bring you this awesome Slip-On right here. They’ve taken the classic “aloha parrot” floral print, seen on countless Vans models over the past few years, and have re-imagined it into an actual photo image graphic. So subtle, yet original! The blue tones in the print, give just enough contrast to make out each object, and the execution is perfect. There is also very subtle branding on the heel panel, as well as the inside footbed. Too bad these are only going to be available in Japan!

Vans x Remix – 10th Anniversary Era & Sk8-Hi (Taiwan Exclusive)
